When towing a small trailer or hauling tools, the rear end can start to sag. The Hellwig EZ-1000 Helper Springs add up to 1,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity above your factory leaf springs to keep your ride height even. By sharing the load, they help maintain balance and steering control while protecting suspension, tires, and brakes from early wear.
When corners or crosswinds push your truck around, these helper springs step in to keep things steady. The custom design works with your factory leaf springs to reduce sway and body roll so your truck feels more planted through turns or uneven roads. The springs flex with your suspension to smooth out bounce and improve overall handling.
Every job is different, and these helper springs let you set them up to match. The U-bolts can be adjusted to suit the weight you’re carrying, and each side can be tuned independently to handle uneven loads. Whether one side of the bed is heavier than the other or you’re changing between loads, you can fine-tune the support for a level stance.
You don’t need special tools or shop time to get these springs working. The EZ-1000 system bolts directly above your factory leaf springs using included mounting hardware. The straightforward bolt-on setup makes it simple for DIY installers to add reliable suspension support in an afternoon.
Daily loads and rough roads demand strong gear. These Hellwig helper springs are made from durable steel for long-lasting performance, finished in a silver vein hammer tone powder coat that resists corrosion. Once installed, they’re ready to handle years of towing and hauling without losing their edge.

Hi, everyone, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at this Hellwig EZ-1000 Helper Spring for above your axles. Now this is a custom fit application. It looks like it's gonna fit the '05 through 2015 Toyota Tacoma, excluding the PreRunners. Make sure you're double checking that here at etrailer.com on our homepage, in your year, make and model and submodels, anything it asks you in our fit guide to be sure you're getting the right parts the first time. Now, this is gonna mount to your existing points on the vehicle.
Again, it's 1,000 pound capacity. It's ideal for rear axle support in light duty towing and hauling applications. It is adjustable and the U-bolts here allow for independent adjustments on uneven loads. They're gonna reduce sway, it's gonna enhance the vehicle stability by minimizing sway and also body roll and also prevent sag. As you can see, it's got this nice gray/black kind of pitted finish here.
Nice little design, I think, and each end has a whole through it on the one side. You got all the spacer blocks, all the hardware, nuts, bolts and washers, everything you need to complete the install. It's gonna come with a set of instructions. Make sure you're checking those out and make sure you're getting everything installed correctly the first time. This will also prevent sag.
It's gonna extend your suspension life by preventing that sag during hauls, and the enhanced load balance is gonna improve handling by ensuring that the loads are evenly distributed when you're using them. Well, that's gonna wrap it up, folks. I'm Steven. Thanks so much for your time. As always, if you have a minute or two, please leave us a picture or review, what you like, what you don't like about it, how you're using it.
I'm Steven, have a good one.

Haven't installed yet. Missing hardware. It's annoying. Will edit review when installed.
