Features to know about

Stay Level When the Load Gets Heavy: Rear Coil Air Support

When the back end sags under a heavy load, braking and steering can get sloppy. The Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs fit inside your existing rear coil springs to keep things level and stable. With up to 1,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity, they help maintain even weight distribution, so your ride stays balanced and your tires wear evenly. It’s the extra cushion your suspension needs to handle heavy loads or trailers with confidence.

Smooth Out Rough Roads: Adjustable Air Pressure from 5 psi to 35 psi

Not every haul is the same, and these air springs let you dial in the ride. You can manually adjust air pressure from 5 psi to 35 psi using separate inflation valves on each side. Add air to level off heavy or uneven loads, or let some out for a softer ride when you’re running light. The side-to-side adjustment helps correct off-center loading and keeps the vehicle from leaning or rolling in corners.

Prevent Bottoming Out and Improve Handling

Hauling or towing can push a suspension to its limits, but these springs absorb road shock before it becomes a problem. The added air cushion softens contact between the axle and frame, preventing bottoming out and keeping the ride comfortable even on rough pavement or uneven ground. The result is better braking response, steadier steering control, and less body movement when roads get bumpy.

Built to Last with Elastic Polyurethane Construction

Each Coil-Rite spring is made of durable, elastic polyurethane that holds up under heavy loading and tough conditions. That material choice gives long-term reliability without sacrificing comfort or flexibility. The kit includes the air springs, hardware, air line, and separate valves for manual inflation—everything needed for a clean install that integrates right into your existing coil spring setup.

Firestone Coil-Rite air spring kit components including air bags, tubing, hardware, and inflation valves for rear axle suspension enhancement.

my air bags for my 23 ram were easy to install, the service was excellent. I will be telling every body I know about how friendly and easy it was to order from you.

by:

Worked well. Second time I’ve installed them on a 4Runner. The result was a needed improvement in sway, dive and sag. It also helps the steering wander.

by:

Great upgrade for carrying weight in the back or towing a trailer. They are a bit tough to install. I found twisting the bag over in the middle and inserting it between the spring to the trick. Insert the top side on the passenger bag first. Insert the bottom side first on the driver side take care with the week ass tubing because if it folds over on itself in a coil, it will remain pinched which I can see will cause problems in the future. The tubing was better 20 years ago than what they give you today. One tube replacement over $30!! Ridiculous !! I like the right height adjustability and my truck feels more stable with a load of weight in the back of my truck advertised in the video shown below.

by:

Fit my 2001 Expedition perfectly. Took away all the sag when towing and like others have said I like the way it rides better even unloaded with 5PSI in the bags. Well worth the money, easy install. FYI this was my first time using bags on any vehicle, I was nervous and these were fabtastic!

by:

Firestone airbags have worked well for my 2017 4Runner. When I'm not attached to my camper, I keep the airbags deflated to about 5 PSI. But when I put my trailer 3,500 lb. Onto the back of my 4Runner I get several in of sag. I pump up the airbags to about 20 psi and I level out the whole rig. What a perfect hybrid system to have. It's there when you need it. Perfect system for a sagging. Backside on a rear coil spring 4Runner. Thanks, e-trailer

by:

These were just as described as far as quality and look. The installation of them were a little more difficult than they show in the video but can easily be done by someone with basic skills. I would recommend if you have the ability to remove the springs and then just insert the bags that way as I couldn’t get one in without doing that. Otherwise the install is pretty straightforward. Haven’t used them with a load or towing yet but hopefully they will work as designed.

by:

Parts are very good quality but installation instructions for my 14 Jetta were very poor. Had to air to 25 psi to keep air bag from shifting in spring but did help stabilize vehicle.

by:

It fit great. And works like a champ... I couldn't be happier with these air helper springs! E trailer made it easy and they followed up with me to make sure i'm pleased with the product... Very happy with the service.

by:

Great product. I must say that they were a little tough to install. A very tight fit. Fortunately for me I had the availability of a vacuum pump. With that I was able to evacuate all the air out of the bags which made them flatter, with that, it made it easier to slide them between the coil springs. I tow a small camper trailer, I usually run around 20 psi in the bags. This keeps my vehicle level and adds for a smooth ride. A great product.

by:

Easy install on lc200, it’s only been a couple days but test run with a trailer was great. Recommend getting getting inflation bracket (Firestone WR17607560) to reduce the need for any drilling if you don’t go with onboard compressor.

by:

I installed these in my buddies 2024 Toyota Sienna Hybrid FWD. I installed with valves up and it took about 4 hours. I had to remove the springs to remove the stock upper bumpers. He's in a wheel chair and has a lift on the back. Going to test it out this week.

by:

The airbags were difficult to install on a 2021 Sienna. It required removing the rubber stopper from inside the coil spring. Once that was out, install was easy. However, these need to be installed with the valve down as the plastic spacers fall out when the van is lifted for service when installed right side up as recommended. Upside down the air hose is routed thru the center of the plastic donut spacer which holds it in place when the van is lifted. However, once installed "upside down" the valves tend to pinch on the suspension as they move around. The pinching lets the air out and requires the bags to be frequently repositioned especially after the van is lifted for service. It is a good product, just unreliable and requires much inspection and maintenance to work properly. Will be loading up again for a summer trip and will need to reposition them so they work as I just had the oil changed.

by:

These bags along with minor adjustments to my load leveling hitch made towing my 19.4 No Bo trailer so much more relaxing!I am running 20 PSI and 3/4 of an inch higher than stock ride hight. Easy peasy

by:

I bought this set because I was having problems with one of the airbags I previously had gotten. It was on the right side of my forerunner. It had a slow leak. When I replaced the airbag this time it had a very fast leak. I finally found That if I used NAPA Sil-Glyde to insert tube it seems to be holding air. And I squeezed air bag into the spring. Use soap for sliding it in.

by:

Phone service was excellent. Air bags helped a lot with stability. I found it easier to remove the spring from the Avalanche than to fight with it in chassis. Removing the spring also gave me a chance to clean the dirt and rocks out of the hose routing area. It was a little more work to drop the axle down but it really wasn't that bad. I was able to do it all without a hoist. Just used two floor jacks. I just let one side down at a time. Remove your swaybar link and shock and let one side down. Pull the spring and do the work in a vise. Its much easier than fighting with it on your back. Also put the air hose in really hot water and it will relax its memory.

by:

Installer couldn't get them to hold air for more than a day.
And if pressure falls below 5 psi, there's a risk of damaging them.
Installation was difficult.
But they do fix the ride height issue when towing.
If I had it to do over, I'd get Sumo springs.

by:

Great Idea - but they won’t hold air, which makes them useless! I knew they would be difficult to install, so I had an experienced auto mechanic who has installed these before to help me. They went in nicely, there were no leaks at the fittings-but they just refuse to hold air. Very disappointing.

by:

I initially ordered the wrong airbags. I called eTrailer and Jeremy H. was very understanding. He got the right ones immediately shipped out and sent me a return label and info while I was on the phone with him. The bags seem good quality comparable to my previous Airlift bags. Instructions were well written and all hardware was accounted for in the shipment.

by:

Well I did not expect to have a one year follow up from ETrailer! I’m a 5 Star happy with these airbags over the AirLift 1000’s I had that blew out just after the warranty was up! These bags are more than twice the product, as you can inflate to >60 psi and that makes for a way more steady ride with weight! I typically run mine at around 45 psi now, the AirLift are limited to 28 psi. The construction is far superior and quality is excellent!!!

by:

Excellent quality fit perfect on our 2008 crown vic

by:

Thank you so much for fast service, we received the kit f4107 in great condition.we had it installed on 4 14 2015 very happy with your service.

by:

Got everything right and all parts fit perfect. Product works great. Repeat customer here.

by:

These have made a big difference towing with my PI Crown Vic. Can't recommend enough if you want to use your car like a truck...

by:

excellent product.. I use it to level out car with use of scooter carrier.

by:

Enclosed documentation stated there was 18 feet of air hose. However, only 14 feet was included. The mechanic had to get creative to make it work. (4 stars instead of 5 due to the incorrect length in the box).

I started to install them myself and realized I didn't want to tackle the task. Glad I handed it off to a mechanic. He reported that it took almost 4 hours to get everything installed and the lines run. (Mercury Grand Marquis).
I will add that he highly recommended them and had installed this brand on other vehicles, including his own truck.

Update: A week after getting them installed they wouldnt hold air. Checked the lines, made sure everything was tight but still has a slow leak. Since the product wasnt purchased from the mechanic, I was going to have to pay to have them replaced, even if the product was covered under warranty. So, after paying several hundred dollars for the product and the installation, just a waste of money for me.

  • Recommended Wireless Air Suspension Enhancement System For 1999 Ford Crown Victoria
There are two air springs we carry for your 1999 Ford Crown Victoria. They are the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle, # F4107, and the Air Lift AirLift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs - Rear, # AL60798. Both of these spring options will give you additional support to your factory suspension and both have a 1,000 lb load leveling capacity rating. • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis for Towing Small Boat
For your 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis the Curt hitch part # 13707 has been confirmed as a fit and would have the towing capacities of 4,000 lbs total trailer weight and 400 lbs tongue weight. We have suspension enhancements available for your vehicle, but since I don't know the weight of your boats/trailer it's hard to say if they would be necessary. The Firestone part # F4107 has been confirmed as a fit for your vehicle though. Be sure not to also exceed the towing capacities of your vehicle...

  • Differences Between Firestone # F4107 and Air Lift # AL60798 Helper Spring for 2004 Mercury Marquis
Other than the color, and the fact that they were manufactured by two different companies, the Firestone # F4107 and the Air Lift # AL60798 are pretty identical. Both springs kits have the same weight rating, and both are rated for air pressures between 5-35 psi. What makes the Air Lift product more attractive is its lifetime warranty, versus the 2 year warranty offered by Firestone. Also, the Air Lift kit is a few dollars less expensive, so the Air Lift # AL60798 would be my recommendation.

  • Where To Install Manual Air Inflation Valves From Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs # F4107
On the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs - Rear Kit, part # F4107, the inflation valves need to be installed in a protected area that is easily accessible. You might check inside the trunk area to see if there is a place where the inflation valve can be installed. You will need to drill a 5/16 inch hole for the inflation valve. If you drill a hole in the trunk area I would recommend to use a sealer when installing the valve to keep exhaust fumes and debris from entering the trunk area. If...

  • Installation Hardware Included with Air Lift # AL60798 or Firestone # F4107 for 1999 Bonneville
Either system includes all necessary valves, air lines and hardware for a manual inflation installation. The bags are installed and the lines are then ran to a protected, accessible area. In a sedan like your Bonneville, installing the inflation valves in the trunk is the best bet. The two systems are very similar and would function alike. Although Firestone is the familiar and trusted household name, from personal experience I can state that the customer service provided by Air Lift is...

The Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Spring # F4107 that you referenced would be a good choice to help improve braking and handling, and reduce tire wear when traveling with a load. You should note that this product will not give you additional towing capacities when used. You should consult the owners manual of your vehicle to determine what is the overall towing capacity of your vehicle and not exceed that.
