Wind noise can make long drives tiring, especially when you’ve got gear on the roof. The Vortex Aero crossbars use slim, elliptical aluminum bars with rubberized strips that disrupt airflow to keep things quiet. The design minimizes drag and whistling even at highway speeds, so you can enjoy the drive without the constant hum of the wind.

Some racks stick out past the roof and look bulky, but this one keeps a clean, low-profile style. The flush-mount design means the crossbars end right at the legs, giving it a sleek, from-the-factory look. It blends in seamlessly and stays tight to the roofline for a straightforward, finished appearance.

When you need to load up cargo boxes, kayaks, or other heavy gear, strength matters. These crossbars are made from structural-grade anodized aluminum with internal H-shaped extrusions that keep them rigid without adding unnecessary weight. They’re rustproof, UV resistant, and built to handle up to 165 lbs (always follow your vehicle’s roof load limit).

This rack is ready for all kinds of adventures. The built-in C-channels support channel-mount accessories like bike racks, kayak carriers, and ski holders. You can also attach most clamp-on options without issue. The removable Vortex strips make setup simple — trim around your mounts and reinsert to keep things sealed and quiet.

Leaving your gear unattended doesn’t have to be stressful. Each leg has a locking cover that secures both the roof rack and any accessories mounted in the top channels. All locks are keyed alike, so one key takes care of everything while giving the rack a unified, finished look.

Unfortunately, a certain amount of wind noise is unavoidable once a roof rack is installed on a vehicle. To minimize the noise caused by wind turbulence, make sure the rubber strips are installed on the top and the underside of the crossbars. Any gaps in the strips will allow the wind to catch, and will cause noise.

Excellent product at a substantial savings compared to Thule and Yakama! I leave the racks on my Grand Cherokee all year round and there has been no sign of color fade or sun ware. Only wish would be for a two tone option vs all black. Keep up the great work!
