Today we're going to take a look at the K Source replacement side mirror. Now this is going to be a direct replacement for your vehicle if yours happened to get damaged or broken, maybe got in an accident. This is going to match up directly to that original look.So you can see the cover is going to be popped off right now. Whenever you first get this, this does come separately. Or it comes together, but it's not going to be on the housing there. That's because if you wanted to paint match this to the rest of your vehicle, you'd want to do this before you get this little piece in place.

Otherwise, you can get paint splatter elsewhere, on the mirror face, and it just won't look as good. So you can paint this separately, get it to match the rest of your vehicle, and then pop it on in place.Our wiring is just going to plug directly into the factory wiring plug. So there's no cutting or splicing. It just pops right in there. Plug-and-play design.Our footprint is going to match up directly to those original mounting points.

It has a nice foam gasket there to cut down on any noise that we get from the road.And we'll also still have all of our functions with that light since we'll have our wiring connection that's going to give us our turn signal function on the light there. Also, it give us our heated function on our light, and the remote control inside our vehicle.Now if you don't have those functions in your vehicle already, this isn't going to be an upgrade. This isn't going to give you any new features for your vehicle. It just gives you all of those things you already had. So for instance, if your vehicle didn't have the capability of heated glass, this isn't going to suddenly give you heated glass.

You have to have all those connections to make that work. So just something to keep in mind there.Now this also does not support memory functions. So if your vehicle is one where the mirrors adjust whenever you get in and they match to different drivers, this will not support that. So that's something to keep in mind as well.This is designed to be a direct replacement for the 2011-2014 Volkswagen GLI Sedan, and the 2011-2014 Volkswagen Jetta Sedan.So it's going to match up directly with that footprint. It looks really nice.

It has this textured black finish on most of the housing, and then the cover that goes over the back of our mirror is going to be more of a smooth finish.So our glass is going to be a OE-grade flat glass with first surface plating. So it's going to reflect a true image. That flat lens just has a true representation of the objects behind you. And that glass is plated with a reflective chrome.We'll also have the breakaway design here. So you can fold this away if you're in a compact spot or if you're parking this in a garage.Overall, this is going to be a really easy to install mirror. You just take your original off, reuse that same hardware, plug everything in, and, again, pop that cover in place whenever you have that painted to match.This is for the driver side.
