Loose cargo, shifting gear - no thanks! These ratchet straps hold strong without the bulk, with a comfortable rubber-grip handle and S-hooks that stay put while you tighten down. Simple, secure, and ready for the day's adventure.
Some tie-downs feel too light, others are just overkill. These straps hit the sweet spot -strong enough for bigger loads, but still easy to handle. No fighting with oversized straps when you don't need to.
Ever wrestled with a stiff ratchet handle in the cold? The rubber-molded grip makes it easy to tighten and release, even with gloves on. Secure your load and get movingno slipping, no frustration.
Straps get left in the truck bed, tossed in the trailer, or stored for months. Lesser ratchets seize up when you need them. With zinc-coated metal parts, these fight rust and corrosion, so theyre ready when you are.
Metal hooks can scuff up your truck, trailer, or cargo. These vinyl-coated S-hooks help prevent damage, so you can strap down without second-guessing where you hook in.
A loose strap mid-haul? Not happening. The Cap Lock hooks help keep things in place, so you dont have to worry about bumps, curves, or shifting loads.

Hi, Matt with Etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about the Erickson ratcheting straps. Now these are gonna be perfect if you have some smaller loads that you need to keep nice and secure when you're in the middle of hauling. Now, if you have any experience with these ratcheting straps, please let us know in either a comment and review, letting us know what your experience is like. Now, Erickson's gonna have a ton of different straps that you can find on our website, and these ones, like I said before, are gonna be more designed for those smaller loads. And where that's really gonna come into hand is if you have anything like a cargo carrier like we have today, or even if you have a smaller utility trailer, this is gonna be something to get the job done.
So today we're gonna be focusing on just three things. I'm gonna be talking about some of the major specs of these, and I'll go into what's gonna be like to use them, how they feel, then finally, I'll give you my overall thoughts on these. So going into the specs, these are gonna have a length of a maximum of 12 feet. You can kinda see we do have some extra excess here. You can tie that off anywhere you find it's gonna be a good point.
And they're going be an inch in the width. Now for that, these is are gonna have a pretty solid weight capacity for being that size. Typically with straps that size, they're gonna have a low weight capacity. This one's actually gonna be rated for 500 pounds for your working load limit. Now it's gonna have a brake limit of 1,500 pounds.
Really what the difference there is your brake limit is gonna be what these have been tested to be able to withstand, and your work and load limit is what you can safely drive down the road with. And these are gonna come in a kit of two. So you can tie these down in a number of ways that's gonna fit your gear the best. So you can safely drive down the road. And let's jump into what it's gonna be like to actually use these.
So these are gonna have this rubber coating on 'em. It just kind of helps give you a little bit more grip when you are using it, and I'll loosen up real quick. All I gotta do is really just pull on it. And right now I already had mine tied off, so it's not gonna come completely off. But whenever I do need to tighten it completely, I'm just gonna pull on that, pull my trigger, and it tightens down like any other type of ratcheting strap out there. This one feels pretty smooth for the operation. I'm liking the way it feels. But what I really like about these straps, it is gonna be the bottom. So right here, we're gonna have our hooks. This is gonna do a pretty good job for a couple reasons. One, it's gonna have this little cap here, is acting as a secondary safety mechanism here. So let's say something we inchesre to malfunction or happen to your straps, this is still gonna take stay attached for the most part, because we're gonna have this cap that's gonna gonna make this completely secured down. What I also like about this is when you're initially tying something down, a lot of times that hook's gonna fall off. With this being like this, it's not gonna fall off. It's gonna stay on here and you'll just tighten it in place. And then finally, it's gonna have this rubber coating on it. So if you have anything like my cargo carrier, I don't have to worry about metal-on-metal contact and scratching up my gear. But other than that, there's not gonna be a whole lot to these. It's just gonna be like any other type of ratcheting strap out there. I think these ones, though, are built well, and they're just gonna be easy to work with. And again, just looking at how it's performing right here, this is something that's gonna gimme just a little bit more reassurance when I am on the road. But again, this is just a look at some of the features of the Ericsson ratcheting straps. I'm Matt, thanks for watching.
