Hi, everyone, Steve here with the etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Vitrifrigo DW180 RV freezer. Folks, you're going to have a combined total of about 5.1 cubic foot of space. Now, this is a stainless steel freezer. I did go ahead and leave some of the packaging on here just so you can kind of see how it's packaged and kind of what it looks like. Here's what it's going to look like whenever it's all peeled off and clean and fresh once you get everything peeled off and away, that beautiful stainless steel.
So, if you've ever packed for a long trip, you know exactly all about freezer space and just how hard it can be to find freezer space because it disappears pretty fast, right So, this is a great option because you don't just have a single freezer compartment, you have the dual freezer compartment. And as you can see, like I mentioned already, I did leave a lot of this packaging protective tape on here and I'll kind of walk here and kind of show you that close up just so you can kind of see. And then, obviously, it's got these little packaging pads here to keep everything from hitting each other. So I peeled up the front one so you can see the beautiful stainless steel, but I did also leave it on because I thought it'd be nice to kind of show you how well they do protect it. It also had that tape all the way around all the edges.
So when I got it out of the box, all you could see, literally, was just this fascia here where the control buttons are. And because I'm not able to turn this on or plug it in, I do want to throw up an image real quick, four different images, actually. This is pretty much what it looks like when it's lit up. We've all seen freezers and fridges light lit up. Obviously, freezers tend to be a little bit dimmer than the fridges, just from the nature of how they make them and everything over the years.
But you get the picture, right So, everything lights up at night when it's plugged in and the door is open. So, these are great options. Again, they slide open. There's baskets in each of these. And I'm going to go ahead and go from the top down now so you can see that a little bit better.
So as you can see, you got some trim pieces here for the air distribution, the cooling fans rather. And then these baskets, I just left them again taped in here. I'll let the protective film in there, but the basket can come out. You got two dividers that can slide from one, two, three different positions. I'll go ahead and put these back, and the instructions. And then the bottom one here, same thing, a little bit deeper. As far as the space-wise, the upper door is 2.8 cubic foot of space, the bottom one is 2.3. Like I said, it's a little bit deeper, it looks like, but it has to come up and over to go around the compressor stuff that's in the back of the unit. And speaking of that, I'll go ahead and spin it around here. As you can tell, I literally just took it out of the box. It comes on a little bitty pallet, and I just took the box cover off those foam styrofoam pieces here. I left them sticking on the side. Again, I kind of like to show people how this stuff comes packaged as well, so you can rest assure that they do package it really good. There was other foam around this that I did peel off. As you can see now, you can see the compressor in there at the bottom. What's great about this is this is going to be a flexible installation, meaning it's a dual-mounting design, so it can be inside or outside flange mounting. That should make it easier to fit into a variety of custom layouts. It's also dual-voltage capable. So it works on both 12 and 24 volts while you're traveling, and then you can plug it into 110/240-volt AC power when you're on that shore power or household electricity. And this again is stainless steel. It's actually marine-grade Inox 316 stainless steel. So this is what I would consider a top shelf, if you will, freezer option. So they've built this really, really well. They put a lot of time and effort into the quality of the craftsmanship of the freezer and just the way they package it and everything. And again, whether you're in a boat or an RV outdoor kitchen where space is limited, this is going to be a great option for you. I got about 34-11/16 inches tall overall.
