We think that this modern-looking shower valve would make a great visual upgrade for your existing valve, and we like that you can use the D-spud to add a handheld shower set (sold separately) so you can wash up after a long day out on the water.
Features:
Specs:
The vacuum breaker lets you attach a handheld shower set (sold separately) to make cleaning mud and sand off the kids, pets, and shower walls even easier. The vacuum breaker also has an anti-siphon device - a small air hole that drains water back out of the hose to prevent your dirty shower water from contaminating your clean water supply.
To install, use the inlet shanks to drop the new valve and deck plate in place of your existing valve. Then hand-tighten the included mounting nuts against the back of the wall, and connect the hot and cold water lines. You'll need to keep some tub and tile caulk (not included) on hand to help prevent any leaking.

Hi, everyone, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking together at our Phoenix Faucets Catalina RV shower valve with the D-spud dual lever handles in a nice, matte black finish. So folks, I know a lot of information there, but basically, this is a replacement tub spout. And as you can see, you've got your cold and hot handles here to turn on and off the water. Then, of course, you got your tub spout, the traditional lever here to pull up to then divert the water through that D-spud here on top to then go to a dedicated shower head or handheld shower head. Now, that handhold shower head would be sold separately.
It would screw right onto this 13/16" diameter thread there. And then, of course, on the back, you get your standard nuts here that are plastic. And then, of course, you got the plate here and a washer back there. You will need also sold separately tile and tub caulk if you already have some pick some up here or at your local store. But you're going to need to put that on the back there to give you a nice watertight seal.
So very nice, simple design. It's a dual ever handle, like I said. You only have to do a quarter-turn valve, so that's nice and easier. It also helps prevent leaks. You're not doing as much friction, open and closing over time.
It is an ABS, non-metallic, plastic exterior, and it has a spin-welded, Celcon, thermoplastic underbody. That's the part that's hidden inside of here and everything. So again, very nice. You got a flow rate of 2-1/2 gallons per minute. It's a simple wall mount, two-hole installation, as I mentioned before.
The distance between these is 4 inches on center, that's standard. And again, just has that nice, matte black finish. Folks, that is going to wrap it up for our quick look together at this replacement faucet shower valve. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
Great.
