Attach a Handheld Shower Set

Phoenix Faucets Shower Valve Vacuum Breaker

The vacuum breaker lets you attach a handheld shower set (sold separately) to make cleaning mud and sand off the kids, pets, and shower walls even easier. The vacuum breaker also has an anti-siphon device - a small air hole that drains water back out of the hose to prevent your dirty shower water from contaminating your clean water supply.

How to Replace Shower Valve

To install, use the inlet shanks to drop the new valve and deck plate in place of your existing valve. Then hand-tighten the included mounting nuts against the back of the wall, and connect the hot and cold water lines. You'll need to keep some tub and tile caulk (not included) on hand to help prevent any leaking.

Video Transcript for Phoenix Faucets Catalina RV Shower Valve w/ Vacuum Breaker Spec Review

Today we're gonna take a look at the Phoenix Faucets Catalina RV shower valve with the dual lever handle in a chrome finish. Now, this Catalina Series shower valve will let you upgrade the bathroom shower valve in your RV or camper. This one has the vacuum breaker at the bottom here that allows you to attach a handheld shower set, which we do sell separately on our website. When you attach that shower set it'll prevent the backflow contamination of your clean water supply. It is a dual handle design with the lever style handles. It does use a quarter turn cartridge stem, which enables the faucet to fully turn on and off after just a quarter of a turn.

Does have a washer-less design so it reduces friction and daily wear for long lasting durability. The whole faucet is a non-metallic ABS plastic construction. On the bottom it uses a one piece spin welded palm underbody and inlet shanks. It is a nice chrome finish. It is a wall mount design to hold installation. The inlet checks right here have a standard male and PSM connection.

Comes with the deck plate, two mounting nuts, rubber washers for installation. Now, they do also require tile and tub caulk, which we do . That is not included. We do sell that separately. A few specs on this faucet.

The flow rate is 2.5 gallons per minute.Give you a few overall dimensions. We're gonna give you overall width with the handles in this position. Edge to edge on each handle is gonna be 9.5 inches wide. If we turn them in, give you the heighth which will be measured from the tip of the handle to the top of the base. That's gonna be right at 3.75 inches tall.

Then the depth from the front of the handle to the back of the base is gonna be right at 3.25 inches deep. The base itself, width of it, edge to edge is right at 6.25 inches wide. The depth on it is 2.125 inches deep. The inlet shanks here for your cold and hot water, the distance between that center to center is a standard four inch measurement. The length on those shanks is gonna be right at 1.5 inches long. But that should do it for the review on the Phoenix Faucets Catalina RV shower valve with the dual level handle in the chrome finish.

  • Can The Ultra Faucets RV Shower Valve Be Changed To Place The Hose Connection On The Bottom
I took the Ultra Faucets RV Shower Valve w/ Vacuum Breaker # 277-000024 apart and found that the cartridge only fits one way and they make the valves so that you wouldn't be able to disassemble and rotate the connection to the bottom. Since there's no hot or cold indicators on the this faucet you could just install it upside down, but the lever would look a little goofy sticking up and the hot and cold would be reversed when turning the lever. We do offer some other faucets that have...

  • What is the Purpose Behind the Small Hole on RV Shower Faucets
That small hole that you are seeing on the Phoenix Faucets Catalina RV Shower Valve w/ Vacuum Breaker # PF223304 and other RV specific showers is actually a part of the vacuum breaker. The vacuum breaker is where you would hook up the shower heard and is designed with that small hole in order to prevent backflow contamination of your clean water supply.
