Many RV TV antennas have to be aimed before they'll receive local HDTV broadcasts. Air 360 receives local HDTV and FM broadcasts without manual aiming, so there's nothing to point or adjust after you park.
The Air 360's omnidirectional design receives local VHF, UHF, AM, and FM signals from around your RV, so you don't have to manually aim the antenna before scanning for available channels. Turn on the power supply and run a channel scan on your TV to see what's broadcasting nearby. Run another scan whenever you change locations so your TV can find the channels available in the new area. The amplified HDTV antenna receives compatible broadcast signals from towers up to 50 miles away.
The integrated amplifier helps improve HDTV reception when you're farther from the broadcast tower. The antenna receives VHF channels 2-13 and UHF channels 14-51 along with AM and FM radio, giving your RV one rooftop antenna for local TV and radio reception.
The Air 360 installs in place of a compatible Winegard RoadStar antenna or as a new roof installation. Keep the center of the antenna at least 18" from the nearest obstruction and edge of the roof and at least 24" from the front of the RV. The included 20' RG6 coax cable connects the TV antenna to the on/off power supply, and a coax run no longer than 30' is recommended for reliable reception. If you want AM/FM reception, you'll need an additional RG6 coax cable (37247985 - sold separately) between the antenna and your AM/FM receiver. The coax cables need to enter the roof inside the perimeter of the antenna instead of exiting beneath the flange so the base can seal correctly. You'll also want Butyl tape and self-leveling lap sealant (AL66FJ and DC94SR - sold separately) beneath the flange and around the base and mounting screws to help prevent water intrusion.
