Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this RV designer gas strut. Now this is a small gas strut, kind of like the support arm that you see holding up a car hatch. But this is size for things like your RV compartments, beds and truck cap doors. So this is designed to make opening and closing those heavier panels a lot smoother.
So for instance, when you lift the door or bed, the struts gonna help take some of the weight so it doesn't feel as heavy and it's gonna keep it from slamming shut. And then when when you're done, and then the attic control is gonna make it safer and easier to use, especially in those tighter spaces. And it is pretty compact as well. So this is gonna work well in spots where you don't have a lot of room or you want to keep things hidden. The build is durable.
It has a black finish, so it's gonna hold up well over time without standing out. Let me get my tape measure here real quick. I want to give you the extended length. I'm measuring center of socket to center of socket, so we're sitting right at 15 inches and this is gonna give you 40 pounds of force, which is a good middle ground strength for things like cargo doors or RV storage. Strong enough to support, but not so strong that it's gonna be hard to close.

We replaced the gas struts on the rv king size bed that came with our 5th wheel with these because after we upgraded the mattress the original ones couldn't support the weight. These are working much better and support the weight of the bed when lifted up with no problemo. They were very easy to swap out from the original ones also.
