Your furnace, water heater, stove, and other propane appliances can demand a lot of fuel when they're running together. This 15" high-flow pigtail moves more propane from the cylinder to the regulator to keep that demand supplied.
If your RV's propane equipment requires more fuel than a standard pigtail is designed to supply, the hose between the cylinder and regulator can become the limiting point. This high-flow pigtail provides greater propane flow between a compatible Type I cylinder valve and regulator while the stainless steel braid protects the hose from abrasion and physical damage.
A damaged hose can release propane rapidly, while a fire can expose the cylinder connection to dangerous heat. Built-in excess-flow protection restricts a sudden propane release, while thermal protection adds another safeguard in the event of a fire.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Marshall Excelsior Company High-Flow RV Propane Pigtail Hose. Now, this propane pigtail hose is the connection between your propane cylinder and your RV's propane regulator. And what makes this one different from a standard pigtail is its high-flow design. So if you have several propane appliances, like a furnace, a water heater, or stove, running all at the same time, they can create a higher demand for propane. So this hose is designed to move more propane from the cylinder to the regulator, so the pigtail doesn't become the limiting point in the system.
This is a 15 inch long hose with a braided stainless steel exterior, and that stainless braid is going to give this hose some additional protection against abrasion and physical damage. That's gonna be useful since propane pigtails can be exposed to wear around the tank and regulator. On the propane cylinder side, we have a female QCC Type I ACME connection. And on the regulator side, this uses a quarter of an inch male inverted flare, so you'll want to make sure your regulator has the matching female inverted flare inlet. And there are a couple of built-in safety features worth knowing about.
The excess-flow protection is designed to restrict the flow of propane if there is a sudden large release, such as if the hose gets damaged somehow. And this also has thermal protection at the cylinder connection, which is going to give you an additional safeguard if that connection is exposed to fire or excessive heat. So you are going to get just this one, but if you need more than one, we also sell this in a pair, a set of two. So on your screen, I've got that part number there for you, you can just take that part number, pop it in the search field or our website, that will take you to the pair there, and you can add that to your order instead. Well, that's gonna wrap up for a look today.
Again, my name's Andy. Thank you for joining me.
Ratings & Reviews
Looks and feels like the high quality product I was looking for. The MIF type connectors don't need pipe dope or tape according to what I've read. Recommend using leak detector spray after installation.
