Your RV propane regulator may have a 1/4" female NPT inlet that won't connect directly to the cylinder's POL valve. This fitting joins the two, giving the regulator a direct connection to your propane supply.
Your RV's propane appliances depend on the regulator receiving fuel from the cylinder. If the regulator has a 1/4" female NPT inlet and the cylinder uses a POL valve, those connections don't match. Without the correct fitting, the regulator can't connect to the cylinder's propane supply. This adapter threads into the cylinder's POL valve and gives the regulator the 1/4" male NPT connection it needs.
