Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look at the Lippert exterior mounted room lock for left hand. Now I wanna start by saying this is probably not the correct orientation. This is the way I can get it to best sit on my table, so bear with me, all right Today we are looking again at this left hand exterior room lock. It's an OEM replacement component.
It has been designed for compatible Lippert and Power Gear slide-out systems. You can see you got the motor and the wiring harnesses and everything here hooked up with the plug right here ready to go for you. And as I said, I got it wedged up there just to hold it in place. And unlike visible travel bars that have been installed and removed each trip, this system works as part of a slide-out mechanism itself. So it's gonna maintain proper slide room positioning and stability during transport.
So the left hand room lock assembly will help keep that slide room properly secured and positioned, again, while you're traveling. And again, a direct replacement from Lippert so you can be sure it fits with their equipment. It's gonna work with the original room lock, and a lot of times, you're replacing this because that original lock has become worn, damaged or just stops operating properly or stops altogether. Now, some quick overall dimensions overall, including this part way over here, I got about 14 1/4.
As far as an overall height, roughly 9 1/8 inches. And then if we're gonna do a thickness, we'll just call this about four, maybe 4 1/8 inches. Keep in mind this is a rubber compartment here, so it kind of has some give to it along with the same thing up here on the front. So those measurements are kind of rough measurements, but you get the picture, right And then I'll flip a little bit just so you get a little better view of that motor mechanism. Same thing with that front part here.
