Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at this Furrion 50-amp female to 50-amp male marine power cord adapter. Now this pigtail adapter will attach to your boat's 125 volt 50-amp inlet to get a plug for attaching 125 volt 50-amp extension cord. Basically, this end right here, the female plug, connects to the 50-amp power inlet that's on your boat. And the male plug right here is what'll connect to a 50-amp extension cord that can be run to an electrical hookup. The plugins, you can see on both of 'em, have these nice side grips for easy user-friendly connection.
The threaded rings here on the female end and the sealing collar gives you a nice weatherproof connection when you make your connection. And also on each connector, if you look right here and over here, that's actually a PowerSmart LED that'll indicate when power is present and active. So when you do plug this in, this light will light up to let you know that the power is active. It is a heavy-duty marine grade construction. It's a nice yellow color for high visibility, and it is a universal fit with all other brands.
Also, if you notice, it comes with this nice weatherproof storage bag and the cable strap just to keep it together. A few specs on this. The amperage, again, female is 50-amps, male is 50-amps, and the voltage is 125 or 250 volts. So just to store it, (Velcro ripping) take your strap here and just go around it. Once you get it all around there, just connect it and it holds it together.
Then you can open up your bag, has this nice heavy-duty handle on it. (zipper buzzing) Open the zipper all the way, and you can see it's got pretty good space in there. And you can just take your connector, drop it right in there, take your zipper, (zipper buzzing) close it all the way, snap your handle back together, and just like that, you have it all nice in one place to keep it stored. But that should do it for a look at this Furrion 50-amp female to 50-amp male marine power cord adapter.
