You get the little plastic frame here and the backing with the foam and everything on the backside of the metal. Now it has been powder coated a nice white. It's got a nice sturdy finish on it, and it acts as a barrier to protect your furnace from dust, the breeze, and moisture. It also prevents accidental contact with hot furnace components and helps contain potential sparks and prevents fires from those sparks. We got 14 3/8 inches overall length by 9 3/8 inches tall, and it's about 1/4 inch thick.
