Hi, everyone. Steven here with e-trailer. Today we're taking a look at this Dichor Gunnable Butyl Rubber Sealant in Gray. Folks, this is a 10.3 ounce tube. Now, if you're not sure, basically this butyl sealant will give you a watertight primary seal between overlaps and overlapping substrates and joints. So maybe you're using this for skylights, vents, windows, termination rails.
You will need a caulk gun sold separately if you don't already have one for applying this, as you probably already know. Then you'll cut the tip and then you'll use it as needed. Obviously, depending on how small the hole is, will give you the length and the usage that you can get out of it. So I always tell people, cut your hole small at first. If it's not enough, you can always cut it bigger.
Once you cut too big, you can't trim it down again, unfortunately. So when it does dry, it's an airtight putty light consistency, and that's going to give you that airtight seal that you're looking for. And this is weather and crack resistant, meaning you shouldn't have to worry about cracking, shrinking, UV exposure. It's going to work great with TPO, EPDM, PVC, glass, metals, aluminum, concrete, wood, and also some select plastics.
