Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our Valterra E-Valve electric waste valve system for your RV's black- and gray-water tanks. Now folks, these will be a great replacement part if you need 'em for that, or just simply as an upgrade to your RV's black- and gray-water tank waste valve. So maybe you have this and you're just replacing it because one went bad, great, or you are not able physically anymore to lean down or get to where these are located to manually open or close them when you need, this will be great upgrade to where all you have to do is now push the switch on the side of your RV or camper or whatnot and get everything flowing easily. Now, as I said, you're gonna have your black- and gray-water tank valves, both of 'em. One is a 1 1/2 inch for your gray-water, and the three inch, of course, for your black-water.
You get all the gaskets and installation hardware. The instructions that come with it in the box even have a cutout template for where you can mark these screw locations for the switches and everything. So again, simple, open, and close to turn the switch. This switch will also light up, indicating that everything is open and flowing. Same thing with the other one.
The length of the cords and the wires, they give you are pretty long, so you're gonna have lots of room for installation. As far as these, most likely when you're installing 'em, they're never gonna be as straight up and down. They're gonna be probably at a tilt, or possibly even sideways. But the cool feature is in the event of a power failure or loss, you can always pull this pin here, and then you can manually open and close these valves, as needed. So follow the instructions, make sure you're putting this the right orientation when you're installing it to be sure that you're able to reach it and everything.
Now one thing you're gonna need, it's sold separately, is some ABS solvent bond, solvent bond rather, for installation onto these valves and everything. So make sure you get all that as needed, sold separately. Now these are compatible with 12-volt systems. Again, you have a three inch diameter and a 1 1/2 inch diameter. As far as the valve opening sizes.
The power draw, if you need to know, is 2.5 amps. And these switch plates here will most likely again be installed inside the RV's control compartments. So there's no fuses with these kit. This is really nice. They have a built-in five amp breaker. That's gonna provide circuit protection. And you would simply reset them with the push of a button. So that's a nice addition. Well, folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look together. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
