Video Transcript for Review of Go Power RV Power Inverter - Advanced Pure Sine Wave 3000 Watt Inverter - GP82QR

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Go Power! advanced pure sine wave 3,000-watt inverter. Now, this is a 3,000-watt pure sine wave inverter that is designed for your RVs with a 12-volt battery system. In simple terms, this is going to take the power that's stored in your RV's batteries, DC power, and convert it to the same kind of AC power that you have at home, and then it's gonna feed that power into your RV's electrical system. So this inverter is going to be ideal for RV owners who want reliable household quality of power, while traveling or camping off grid. This is going to be especially beneficial for those who run sensitive electronics, like TVs, computers, or gaming systems, and you need a clean, stable power source.

This also suits tech-savvy users and DIY RV builders who want strong performance, built-in safety features and the ability to monitor power usage via Bluetooth or even a display. So power-wise, this is strong enough to handle most everyday appliances. It is going to give you 3,000 watts of continuous power, with up to 6,000 watts of surge power for things that need an extra boost to start up, like microwaves or power tools. Installation and connectivity are well thought out. It does include hardwire AC output terminals.

And then on the other side here, you're going to get the DC input terminals. You're going to also get, hopefully I'm not making you dizzy here, you're gonna get a remote port. And these are gonna be multiple ways to securely connect cables and external devices. On the safety side, this has built-in protection against short circuits, overloads and overheating. So it's gonna shut down safely if something goes wrong instead of damaging your equipment.

For monitoring and control, it's power track screen compatible. Of course, that screen is sold separately from this. It's gonna work with multiplex systems. And you can connect via Bluetooth to check inverter status and settings right from your smartphone. So if you want a cleaner, safer battery connection, there is an optional fuse block installation kit that is sold separately from this.

That's designed to help protect your RV's electrical system. Let's take a look at some measurements here. So let me see if I can line this up here so you can see. So looking at the overall length here, we're sitting, end to end, right about 19 1/2 inches long. Looking at the height, about five inches tall. And then the width looks like right at about 10 1/2 inches wide. (tape measure clacking) So it is compact for its power class, but it still needs a solid mounting location, so you wanna be sure that you have this securely in place in your RV or camper. But this is a high-capacity, clean power inverter that's gonna be great if you want to comfortably run your household-style electronics and appliances in your RV or camper without having to worry about power, quality, or safety. Now, if you are looking to pick this up and maybe have someone install it for you, do take a look at our installer locator link on this product page. Typically it's underneath our photos on the product page. You can click that, give some information about where you are at, and our installer locator will bring up installers in your area that etrailer has partnered with to help you get this installed. But if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us. We do wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well, again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

See what our Experts say about this Go Power RV Power Inverter

  • Is Modified Sine Wave Inverter Appropriate for Micrwave, TV, Fridge, and Laptop
Hey Corey! A modified sine wave inverter would not be the best option for your setup. The laptop would probably be the least likely to have problems since it will have its own charger/adapter that converts back to DC. The electronics on your microwave, fridge, and TV might run extra hot, could hum and make noise, and may wear out prematurely if you're using it frequently. Also, with a single solar panel and 2 lead acid batteries a 5,500 watt inverter is quite large. I'm guessing those...
