What's going on everybody Adam here with etrailer today, I got a problem. So, trying to prepare for my trip, but I don't really have the best hookups to power my RV. So what I'm going to be using today, is the Furrion RV adapter plug. So this is pretty much just going to have a female and male end 30 Amps on both sides. It's pretty much just going to convert one type of plug to the other type of plug. Pretty much the situation I'm in.
I have a couple of different hookups on my generator. That's what I'm using to power the RV, but I'm using the connector that I need.So a converter is going to make that super, super simple. So whether you're at your house, at a campsite and either the plug isn't working properly or the plug just isn't there, we can go ahead and use the Furrion convertor to convert it and help this go a little bit faster. So pretty much what I'm going to use is this right here, plugged in. This is a universal fit.
So it's going to fit with all the different sizes and also different brands and stuff. So you don't have to worry about that and let's put it in like normal, twist it. And now I can go ahead and get back to work. Turn this on.Let's go check out the RV. All right.
First test, lights. Yep, Got it. Cool. So now I'm going to go ahead and slide these slides out. It's 30 Amps so we should have plenty.
Start with the big guy. Once those are out, next thing on my list to do is I'm going to get the refrigerator all fired up, maybe by tomorrow it would be a little cooler. So I can go ahead and start loading up all of the stuff we plan on taking on the trip. And then also I'm going to start turning up this AC just because it's really steamy in here. We want to make it kind of nice before we even get on the road.Now that we're done setting up the RV, we're going to go ahead and go over to some little specs about this guy. Yes, it's extremely, extremely useful. And it is tested to UL and cUL standards. You don't really have to worry about any of that. It is heavy duty Marine grade, corrosion resistant, and it's made of a polycarbonate casting and it does have nickel-plated brass plugs as well. So these are going to be extremely heavy duty and you don't have to worry about it rusting away over time. I do like how it's molded too, just because it is a twist so we can get a good grip on it, twist it and pull it out. We don't really have to worry about maybe bending these over time.They seem extremely strong compared to some of the other converters that I've worked with. Just to give you my two cents about adapter plugs, I highly recommend just having a decent amount of them stored away in your RV. Just one, because it doesn't really take up a whole lot of space. And two, you saw how it helped in my application. You guys probably know more than I do. Go into to random RV parks, there's a lot of times where they one don't have the hookup that you're expecting, two, it doesn't work properly or three someone else's just using it. So to be able to have a plug that has proper power, and then you just having the right converter is just going to make setting everything up and getting on the road or just relaxing a lot quicker and easier. And that's something I like. Other than that, that's pretty much it for a look at the Furrion RV power cord plug adapter. And I'm Adam with etrailer.

Constructed of polycarbonate and nickel-plated brass.Exactly what I needed! Occasionally I run into a situation where my travel trailer is slightly too far from the 30 amp shore outlet. This adapter lets me connect two 30 amp RV power cords to make one long one. Solved my problem without having to spend another $xxx+ on a replacement cord that I will only use once or maybe twice. TIP: I will follow another reviewer’s advice and wrap the adapter to make it weather tight when needed.

Is better quality than the photo shows l have been looking for this adapter for a long time now I can use my generator in the back of my truck With my Rv cord and not have to unload it
I use this to link two power cords together to make one long one, for that it works as described. The plug comes loose and isn't water tight, so I keep a roll of electrical tape handy to seal the connections and hold things together.

It has been used for about a year now, still going strong! it is out in the elements for the last year.
Simple plug that worked… But this review was more about etrailer in general… Really like working with them as they have awesome customer service folks who know their products. The 1st time I ordered they sent me the incorrect size on my Tonneau cover (short box versus regular box). But they fixed the problem quickly and I was very satisfied. My last experience was another Tonneau cover for a new truck and I was very happy with that as well product.

Just what I needed to join 2 standard 10 gauge 30 amp RV cords and get the distance I needed. Based on my calculations the voltage drop is not enough to create a problem.
Very simple design, sturdy prongs, stays put. Would recommend and purchase again if needed.

Not much to say, it’s an adapter well built and solid. I bought a second one directly from the manufacturer for less and it arrived five days sooner, as backup.
