You're replacing a sun-faded, road-battered, barely sealed access hatch that's been holding on by a thread since your last trip. You pull it off, line up the new one, and it fits. Like it was made for your rig from the start. Because it was.

Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking together at our B and B RV Multi-Purpose Hatch with built-in thumb lock and an open back in polar white. So folks, this exterior utility hatch has this thumb lock. You just simply twist it to open or lock. In this case, it's gonna be unlocked now. And this will let you mount this to your RV outer wall to cover service points or maybe wiring.
And again, that thumb latch, just simply twist the latch inside, making it to where you can lock that front door. Now this is ideal for maybe pass through wiring, recessed compartments, and you get everything here needed for installation. So as you can see, you've got screw holes here. They give you all the screws with the painted white head tips to match. You flip it over, the butyl tape here, that's included.
This stuff's kinda like a putty that'll go along the outside perimeter. And then whenever you put the screws in from the front, it'll kind of squish everything together, make it a nice watertight seal around this. It is a durable plastic construction. It's UV stable, so it's gonna resist fading and cracking. And it is a polar white color.
Some overall dimensions. Outside overall, I got 12-13/16" by 7-3/4" and the cutout here, I got 11-1/16" by six inches tall. And the depth here on just that cutout collar is about 1-1/8" tall. Folks, that is gonna wrap it up for our quick look together. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.

Just right!
Looks like a fine access door. I have yet to install it but the unit seems complete. Just what I needed.
The door itself was good quality. The lock used was of poor quality, using only a cheap clip to hold it in place. The lock would not hold the top of the door closed, which would let the tv tires throw water right into the compartment the door was attached to. Purchased another lock that used a nut to hold the lock securely in place and the door is now closed properly.
The lock and door are very flimsy. What is the point of having a locking door when 5 seconds with a screwdriver can defeat it? Also, it needs a more secure type of key. The lock protrudes out the back considerably, so if space is tight, it will not work. However, it is all that is available. Wish it came in other colors.
It worked very well for the project. I used it as an access panel by cutting the back off and placing it in the tin skirting along side my trailer. The manufacturer placed 1 of the four Greywater drain valve handles up on the frame in a very inaccessible location. This panel worked very well it is a little small but the next size up was a lot bigger and a lot more money. So I do have to squeeze my hand in a bit but it works and looks great
perfect fit. same color, couldn't find it elsewhere
