These JetStream aluminum crossbars have an aerodynamic shape that helps smooth airflow up top. The push-down rubber strips in the top channels help seal gaps, cutting down on wind noise and vibration at highway speeds. The setup feels stable and quiet, so you can focus on the drive rather than the whistling that comes from less refined racks.
This rack handles all kinds of gear without fuss. You can mount channel-style accessories like kayak carriers, bike racks, or cargo boxes directly into the top channels, or clamp other attachments around the bars. That flexibility means one rack supports your summer paddles, winter ski runs, and long road trips alike.
You can add Yakima’s Same Key System (SKS) lock cores to help deter theft of both the rack and your channel-mounted accessories. A single key setup keeps things simple when you’re parked at a trailhead or campsite overnight.

You definitely want to use the gaskets and I dont recommend using the crossbars without them. Here is an install video that might help you out with this part. Let us know if you still some assistance after watching.

Ive had the rail system on my truck for about a year now and its been a tremendous help. It allows me to still use my bed and provides much needed extra storage space, mostly for all the dog items we carrycrates, gates, beds, food, etc. I like the fact the rail locks to the truck so I dont need to remove them at home or at our destination.

The rack base has worked perfectly. I took my Yakima rack off my Tacoma and transferred it to a Honda Pilot and eTrailer had the correct bracket.

I have used the landing pads with a fully loaded basket and awning. We went on a road trip from Rialto, CA to Los Cabos San Lucas, BC with no signs of failure. I guess, dont judge a book by its covers. Well designed. Thats 1100 miles one way. Some parts of the roads were not that great but everything held up.
