Very straight forward to install. Took about a half hour in total. No whistling whatsoever. They look awesome on my 2016 Ford Explorer Sport! Especially with my running boards and tires...
Waiting on my Rhino basket to get here to install that next!
Overall rack fits great. I'd like to see the longer crossbars show as approved. It's not really clear why I couldn't put 52 inch bars on a 2017 highlander but it shows they won't fit.
It was difficult to attach, had to go get my own tools the ones they sent with the racks were useless. So it was frustrating! Once getting the proper tools it was fine. Now that its on I like it and have used it several times. I would suggest your customers get their own tools to attach.
Fast shipping and worked out great!
Rock solid attachment, the install didn’t go as smooth as hoped, but got it to work. Customer service was very available, though I do t think anything they could have done to make the install easier - chalked up to slight car model variations.
There ok. The center screw that the bar connect to is to long and screws into you roof mounts on a Ford Explorer. So if you take them off, your roof rails would have to be repaired. Maybe more overkill than I needed. Factory bars are way cheaper and wont ruin your rails and would have done the job.
I ordered the Rhino cross bars and cargo basket together for my 2021 RAv4 Hybrid simply because I wanted a sure combo that would work together. I am a semi-mechanical person and the whole job took me about 2 hr (bars + cage). It was not difficult, but the bars require precise alignments and a second pair of hands. Also maybe a foot stool and a mirror to see underneath bars for screw heads. My only suggestion for cross bar install is to dry fit everything first- tightening always seems to throw off alignments. Patience is key! The screws to hold platforms to mounting feet will not go in easy unless alignment is perfect.
We bought the Rhino Rack after realizing that neither of the other brands would fit right onto our Highlander. I ended up having to purchase both of the other major brands to figure that out. In the end, I found out that the Rhino rack fit exactly to the stock configuration of our car. It also held much more weight than the comparable brands. We could not be happier with this rack. I would recommend just skipping the other brands and getting the Rhino Rack regardless of your vehicle model. I found it to be a very well-designed rack system. All of the accessories fit perfectly. It even looks great on our car.
This is the best website and the best customer service I have received by any company on the web. Every interaction was informative and timely. People, prices and products are excellent. I am in the roofing sales business and from time to time I need to put my big ladder on my vehicle and the crossbars with ladder roller and load stops work great. Two product improvements could be made: 1) crossbars whistle when above 30 mph, so they could have a better design to reduce or eliminate that or 2) the crossbars should have a quick release under the key cover instead of the hex screws.
Bought these to go on our RAV4 Prime, paired with the Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars. They look great, were easy to install, and have stood the test of time a year later (making it through a New England winter just fine).
I bought this kit because I already owned a pair of Thule “square “ crossbars. When in place the rack is super solid. However, it has some issues. It is quite difficult to attach the legs to the base plate on the factory rails. It doesn’t click on and off. Quite annoying. A fiddly two person job. Also the wind noise is very noticeable. Also annoying.
Great customer service with James on the front end. Arrived sooner than expected! Fairly easy setup. It took me a little over an hour.
We will be using it to haul paddle boards as well as a tandem road bike. One of our next purchases will be the batwing awning and possibly the Tag-a-long tent if we don’t get a roof top tent
The small square plates had defective threads. Plus, it was difficult to get the legs lined up with the crossbars. I could not tighten the crossbar bolts in place due to lack of space. I had to remove the crossbars to tighten the assembly.
I searched a lot of websites before finding what I needed on etrailer.com for my 2012 Suzuki GV. I was looking for the proper mounts to install a Kayak rack system. Because my vehicle has a built in rail system it was very confusing what was needed. Thank you etrailer for hooking me up with the appropriate parts for the Rhino system, it worked great!
Installation was a little tricky. Used my phone with the camera pointing up to align the Allen wrench up with the screw to tighten the crossbar down.
The product is exactly as advertised. It is very sturdy and looks great on my vehicle. I took me about 4 hours to complete the project, but I took my time. I was a little disappointed in the 6-week delivery time. Specifically for the Lexus GX 460, I was not aware that there would be gaps in the roof molding between the rails after removing the stock roof rails. I’ve ordered mounding to fix these spaces.
First....the customer service was great. Followed and answering questions were timely and helpful.
Install was easy as I’ve had experience with these and similar. Instructions were clear and the bars are very very sturdy. Very solid. I’m anxious to start loading my equipment on it to really utilize them. Hopefully they will hold up to their name as I’ve trusted rhino rack and etrailer for my source multiple times now.
These feel sturdy with the Rhino Rach Vortex bars and they look clean. I am happy with the final product. I like that the locks came with them without a significant upcharge. I would give them five stars but I don't like that there is only one bolt to attach each one to the car. There should at least be two per mount (this is only an anecdotal thought). I also thought the upside-down blind hole to tighten the bars to these mounts was a slow and frustrating experience. The Rhino-Rack system is great, it competes with all of the other brands but at a lower price point. However, if they were to improve on anything, it would these platforms. The custom fixed mounting points fit my car perfectly like it was OEM designed and the vortex crossbars are the best in the game.
I purchased the Rhino Rack roof rack as an alternative to the factory installed products and the more popular Thule and Yakima brands. The Rhino Rack is solid and sleek and is largely silent while driving (if I have the roof open you can hear a soft whistle). Not only does the rack look fantastic, but the non-slip top and the strong bars make carrying things on top a real pleasure.
Fit perfect, I couldn’t find these parts anywhere. If you have a JL wrangler and is getting the back bone system and the platform from Rhino Rack these are the feet you will need.
Nicole did a great job finding the right parts to fit.
Fit my Hyundai Tucson perfectly.
Very sturdy and stable. Exactly what I expected. Easy to install and works great.
Rhino makes some of the best roof racks and accessories. Easy to install and they last.

Ive used the rack several times over the past year. Great to throw a sheet of plywood on or some long camping items. I did loose an end cap off one of the bars not sure how as the locking mechanism is pretty secure. Easy and inexpensive to replace - eTrailer has them in stock. The rack runs silent even at highway speeds, but you do need the rubber strips in any open area of the mounting channel.
