Hello, neighbors. Steve here with etrailer.com. Folks, today we're looking together at this replacement fairing clamp for your MOAB, or Mother Of All Baskets, rooftop cargo carrier. That's right, folks. This is quantity one clamp for the Thule M-O-A-B, or MOAB, Mother Of All Baskets, rooftop cargo carrier. That carrier does use five of these fairing clamps total.

This is just quantity one replacement fairing clamp. So obviously it can go wide, go over it, and then you'd screw it down, bolt it down in place. Pretty simple design. Direct replacement part by Thule. Again, quantity one, one clamp.

I had to get a new wind fairing from Thule, they didn't include the clamps because they discontinued the MOAB version. And said they didn't have anymore in stock and wouldn't get any...Found these and although they were back ordered and took a couple months to get in, etrailer kept me updated on the status through out the entire time. I was happy with their excellent customer service and communication every step of the way. Jonathon W. was responsive during the whole process. only a 4 because they weren't in-stock.

Product is genuine Thule part. The etrailer service is also genuine. After ordering I was emailed that my part was on back order and given a expected arivale time. I was again e-mailed again when that date passed. I appreciated the updates. Also etrailer has great product depth and pricing

So seems I keep finding myself ordering from Etrailer, and every time I'm not disappointed. I purchased a MOAB roof basket second hand. But it didn't come with a Fairing and the wind noise above 35mph was deafening. The fairing fixed the whistling noise to a hush. I also discovered that etrailer has all the replacement parts for my used basket, if anything breaks I'll be back on this site to place an order.

After damaging my rack in an underground parking facility I needed to replace pieces to get it back in operation. Most products were plastic but I found your website to have everything I needed. My last order was for these fairing clamps to hold the wind shield on the rack. With that I have now completed getting rack back in use. If I do need anything in the future it's nice to know that you all will have the finishing touches I need.

This product is smaller then the actual Thule clamps. So it makes it harder for them to fit perfect.

While the MOAB carries uses 5 clamps in total, the replacement clamps are sold individually.

Hey Jonathon, thanks for the question. The Replacement Fairing Clamps for MOAB Roof Top Cargo Carrier item # 853-5818 will definitely work with the discontinued Thule MOAB. However, I do not have anyway of knowing if the Replacement Wind Deflector Fairing for Rhino-Rack Steel Cargo Basket item # RR68TB is going to work. The Rhino-Rack item # RR68TB measures 32" long and 4-1/4" wide. I recommend comparing the dimensions to your MOAB and seeing if they're similar. A Thule one like item...

Best Way to Remove Push Pins Holding Fairing onto Thule MOAB Roof Mounted Cargo Basket
I'd recommend a panel removal tool, part # ALL648544. Gently wedge the tool under the fastener, and pry gently. If you should happen to damage any of the push in fasteners, we sell replacements as part # 853-5482. We also carry the replacement fairing clamps that hold the fairing to the roof basket, part # 853-5818.

Thule Fairing Clamps that Secure To Cargo Basket
That appears to be a Thule fairing for one of their cargo baskets. We have replacement mounts for it with the part # 853-5818 since it's supposed to have 5 clamps instead of the 3 that you have left.
