Hey everyone, it's Evangeline. And today, we're gonna be taking a look at our replacement straps for your Hollywood Racks platform bike racks, right here at etrailer. We have the right strap and we have the left strap. So here in this video, you'll figure out which is the correct strap to replace what you need. So, the main difference is going to be the buckles. One will have an R on it, the other will have an L on it and that will help you figure it out.

You can also figure it out by the way the lever is facing. So, the right strap replacement has the lever facing up on this side, so you know it's the correct replacement part. To replace your strap, you're gonna start by taking off the buckle. So this uses a 10 millimeter wrench and a 4 millimeter Allen key to loosen this bolt. Then take off your old part, replace it with the new one.

And this has included hardware, so install that too. You're also gonna use that 10 millimeter wrench to remove this bolt, which is holding onto the main part of the strap. Once that's off, take off that nut and flat washer, remove the strap and replace it with your new one. And once you've tighten everything down and double checked it, just go ahead pop that strap right back in and you have a brand new replacement strap.
