Hello neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look today at our Erickson aluminum loading ramps. They're gonna be a bi-fold option, 72 inches long by 30 inches wide, and they have a nice solid wide bottom, rate of 1200 pounds capacity. So folks, as you can see, nice sturdy, aluminum, lightweight, rust proof, they do have an integrated carrying handle. They can hinge together, fold together. So whether you're loading a wheeled equipment onto your truck or trailer, you're gonna have 30 inches wide when it's folded out like you see here of continuous loading surface.
So that's gonna help eliminate the need to worry about aligning the ramp and the wheel spread and those kind of things. And if you're just by yourself, it makes it much easier to load than compared with the two piece ramp sets that are out there and just those kind of things. Now it is a solid, lightly textured kind of smooth surface, and I'm gonna go ahead and pull this up here in a second and show you how it folds up. But I wanna point out each side has this built-in straps you can see is strapped through there. And on the bottom here you have an S hook, you have a cam buckle, and this is already cinched on this side.
What you would do is you would hook this side under the trailer frame and then you would pull this other end of the strap tight on both sides, and that's gonna keep this from sliding off of whatever you're going to be loading up on and stuff. So let's go ahead and fold 'em up and get you a closer look. So I'll just stand 'em up here wide first. There's the backside. Like I said, the straps just kind of go through the loop on themselves and they again, hold these ramps in place whenever you're loading or unloading.
And as far as the front, get you a better view of that surface. So again, textured surface, just some little ridges, every, oh, 3/4 of an inch or so, and that gives you that traction you need, but it's also smooth without big holes so you don't have to worry about your wheels bopping down in the holes as you're loading them. If I have one negative on these ramps, it's that when they machine these and cut up these ovals here for the straps, they could have done a little better job, in my opinion, of filing this down. It's got a little sharp edge, so be careful if you get these. I would recommend putting a file to all edges before you put that strap on.
Otherwise that strap's probably gonna get cut through eventually, just 'cause of that sharp edge. So just that's my only negative. Once again, the ramps fold just like so. And then whenever they're folded, they're only about five inches wide overall. Not quite five, actually about 4 7/8. Now when they're folded, they're only gonna be about 15 inches wide, 15 1/4, give or take. Keep in mind, you got the hinge and everything here, so watch your fingers. They do give you a handle and whenever you need to carry 'em, the handle makes it a little bit easier to carry 'em. The only other negative I think that I have personally is there's not really a latch system to keep these together, so there's no like latch or anything to keep these from opening up. That being said, when you're holding 'em like this, the chances of them, you know, even opening up on you are probably really slim because they're just so big and wide. So there you go. Nice set of folding aluminum, again, 1200 pounds rated, evenly distributed. These are the Erickson aluminum bi-folding 72 inches long, 30 inches wide when folded out. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching. Stay safe when you're towing.
Fits well in my Tesla Cybertruck. Smooth surface makes loading tricycle easy.
