Today we're going to be taking a look at part number C-A-M-5-9-1-8-3, this is the Camco propane supply hose. It's going to measure 48" long. The hose is going to let you connect an auxiliary propane cylinder to your RV or trailer's propane regulator. It's going to have the type 1 ACME nut at one end. That's going to connect to an ACME or POL connection on your propane tank. On the other end, we're going to have the 1/4" inverted male flare.
This is going to connect to the 1/4" inverted female flare on your propane regulator. It does connect to the female inverted flare on some other Camco products like C-A-M-5-9-1-2-3, and C-A-M-5-9-1-2-5, those items are sold separately. Now the hose is going to provide thermal protection in case a fire and excess flow protection in case of a broken gas line. This is rated for 200,000 BTU per hour. We're going to have the brass fittings.
Those are going to do a good job at resisting rust and corrosion. When installing this, you do not have to worry about using Teflon tape or thread sealant. It does not require those items for an installation. That's going to do it for today's look at part number C-A-M-5-9-1-8-3.
