Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Mopeka Electric Tank Blanket for 20 pound propane tanks. So folks, this will work good with a 20 or a 30 pound propane tank that you're going to be using in your RV camper and those kind of things. And when you're in cold weather, you may have noticed your propane system just doesn't always perform the same way it does when it's warm outside. Well, obviously as temperatures drop, the propane gas inside this tank has a hard time to vaporize and it's going to mean loss of pressure, loss of flow even.
So even though you may have liquid propane still up in the tank, because it's too cold, it can't vaporize and become gas like it needs to run everything. So that's where the blanket comes into play. So pretty simple to operate. You'll just simply plug it into your standard outlet. Then you have your settings here on the dial gauge.
You just change them to whatever you need for your personal settings. And as you see, it's a nice blanket and it is just kind of spring loaded here. So whenever it's time to put it on or off, I just simply carefully remove these springs and they just put spring tension onto the tank. And then I can simply take the whole blanket off at that point if I want to whenever I'm not using it. And then when it comes time to install the blanket back onto a tank, I simply pull the spring latches over, hook them in place, which is a lot easier to do whenever you're in front of it.
There we go. I just simply hook them in place like that. And then I'm ready to go. I can plug it in. I can heat everything up.
Now because the blanket wraps around the cylinder, you're putting that heat exactly where you need it instead of trying to warm the entire storage area around the tank. So again, everything's going to fit smug and secure.
