Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this Weigh Safe Pintle Hitch with built-in scale for your 2-inch trailer hitch receiver. Now one of the standout features of this hitch is going to be the built-in tongue weight scale. So instead of guessing if your trailer is loaded right, you're gonna know every time when you hook up. So this is going to eliminate the need for separate or commercial scales, and it's gonna make towing a whole lot safer, meaning less sway, better braking, and way more peace of mind.
Now this is a serious piece of hardware. This is rated up to 15,000 pounds with a 1,500-pound tongue weight limit. And this is gonna be built for heavy equipment, work trailers, or anything that really pushes the limits. Now this pintle hitch is gonna be compatible with lunette rings of all sizes, and as you can see here, I'm just gonna remove this tethered safety pin and clip, I've got a lever right here, I'm just gonna pull that forward, and then that's going to allow me to drop that lunette ring on and then push that down. It'll be secured in place.
And then just for extra protection, replace the pin and clip and you'll be good to go. So that's how easy it's going to be to connect and disconnect your lunette ring. Now you can also pick up a kit with this, and two balls, that you could swap out the pintle hook for, and the balls would just drop into place there in the platform. So if you would like that flexibility of having the 2-inch or the 2 5/16-inch ball included, we do have those options available here at etrailer.com. So this is going to give you about a 6-inch drop.
You are gonna get these two keys here, and I'm gonna go ahead and insert one of them there. Give this a turn, and that's going to allow me to remove this slider pin lock just like that. And then that's going to allow me the ability to get that height adjustment that I'm looking for. So again, about a 6-inch drop, and that's gonna help, of course, keep your trailer level with taller trucks. And then I wanted to show you, as well, it's very easy to remove this attachment.
There's a pin in here with like a key ring on it that allows me to pull that pin out and then that's going to allow me to remove the pintle hook attachment. And then if you have a Weigh Safe ball, you could drop it in there and then secure it with the pin. So I'm just gonna put that back in, replace the pin like so, and then place it back on the shank and replace the dual pin slider lock. Line up those holes. So I'm showing you all this just so you can see you're not gonna be at the back of your vehicle struggling to get that height adjustment that you are looking for. It's gonna be very easy to get that adjustment. Now the build quality is gonna be another plus. This is all steel construction and it has a great textured matte black powder coat finish that's gonna help fight off corrosion. And just some measurements here for you, measuring from just about the center of our pintle hook to the center of our first hitch pin hole, we're sitting about eight inches. To the second hitch pin hole, about nine inches. And in the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about 2 3/8 inches. So again, this is going to slide into your 2-inch trailer hitch receiver. It weighs about 30 pounds. You are going to get these two keys, you're gonna get this little cap here as well, for that hole in the ball platform that the pintle hook is attached to here, secured to at the back there. And that cap's just going to plug into that hole if you use this with a 2-inch ball or a 2 5/16-inch ball. Now I did wanna point out that the pintle attachment is not going to be compatible with the aluminum Weigh Safe drop hitch. So this was only be, the pintle hook attachment was only designed to be used with the steel product line of Weigh Safe. And so I wanted you to be aware of that. So this is gonna be for you if you tow often, if you haul heavy loads or if you switch between different trailers and you want an accurate measurement of your tongue weight. Well, if you happen to have any other additional questions, whether it's about this or any of the other items that we carry, don't hesitate to reach back out to us. We do wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you want and need. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
