When replacing hoses or servicing the power angling block, fitting mismatches can slow the job down. This Meyer adapter lets SAE-style pump ports connect to standard 1/4" NPT hoses so repairs go smoothly.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Meyer Hydraulic Adapter Fitting. Now, this is a small but important hydraulic adapter that's used on Meyer Snowplows and its job is to let two different types of hydraulic connections work together. On one side, it has a 1/4 of an inch female NPT thread, which is a very common pipe thread style used on hydraulic hoses. And on the other side, it has a male SAE 6 fitting with an O-ring, so this is what many Meyer hydraulic pumps and cylinders are designed to accept. And what this means in plain terms is that this adapter allows you to connect a standard NPT hydraulic hose to a Meyer component that uses an SAE 6 O-ring port.
The O-ring helps create a tight, leak-free seal, which is especially important in hydraulic systems that see pressure and cold temperature changes. It's most commonly used when installing or repairing or replacing hydraulic lines on Meyer Snowplows, so if you're running into a situation where the hose threads don't match the port on their pump or cylinder, this adapter usually will be the solution that you're looking for. If you happen to have any other questions, whether it's about this adapter or anything else that we have here at etrailer, don't hesitate to reach out.
