Just cut your 3/8" PEX, PB, or polyvinyl pipe, slide the compression nut on the pipe, push pipe onto the barbs, and hand-tighten the compression nuts for a leak resistant seal. Turn the handle to control flow; perfect for upgrades, repairs, or plain ol' peace of mind when youre winterizing or storing your RV.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this, Flair-It PEX Straight Valve Stop Fitting. This RV Freshwater Plumbing Straight Valve Stop is going to connect pipes and hoses in your RV freshwater plumbing system, and lets you control the flow of water. Whether you're needing to repair leaky connections or install new lines, this is going to work with your PEX pipes, the old gray PB pipes and poly vinyl tubing. The two three eighths of an inch barbed connections are going to fit in three eighths of an inch inner diameter hoses and tubes, and the barbed connections with the compression ends means that you're not gonna need any tools to give you a nice, tight, secure fit.
Now, to install this, you're going to slide the compression nut that we have right here over the pipe, and then you are going to insert this barbed end into the pipe. Now, this is going to take a little bit of doing. You might need to rock this back and forth, and apply at the same time, quite a bit of pressure to get this fitting to slide into that pipe. But then once this fitting is in the pipe, you have that barb fitting in the pipe. You're then going to bring this compression end back over the pipe, and then onto the fitting, and then you're gonna thread it into place, tightening it down, and then that connection is going to be very secure for you.
And then you can do that on the other end as well. Now, overall, we have been very impressed with how secure the connection was on other Flare-it fittings, and so while you can install this by hand without any tools. If you ever need to remove this fitting, from the pipes that you installed this in, that is going to take quite a bit of effort. You might even need some tools or like a pair of vice grips to help you remove this. So once you have this installed, you're gonna have a really tight, secure fit, and you're really not gonna have to worry about it again.
The Polyoxyethylene construction is durable and resistant to stress cracking. That's gonna conclude our real quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Service and follow up were great. The web site was easy to maneuver and find what I needed
Item was missing the handle
Very good service
Works great
Item was as described, shipped quickly and packaged well.
This is awesome
Works perfectly with the pex plumbing in my RV camper.
This product was easy to install and resolved the water leak from the older installed valve.
Worked great in hooking up kitchen water faucet in my fifth wheel trailer
This did not work on the 1/2" vinyl tubing in my camper. Because the tubing wasn't brand new, it was stretched a little larger in OD than new. There was no way to get the compression nut slid over the tubing. Unfortunately I didn't find this out until I cut the hose to the toilet, leaving me with no water in the RV.
I think they're great. Flair-It also makes a product called Flair-It Flex (see attached picture) that they recommend you would use with reinforced 1/2"compression hose. Flair-It Pex, works great with Pex. They also make a similar replacement product/seal for the 90° swivel.
Not a easy fix. attempted to put it on my 1/2 PEX overflow line attached to my fresh water RV tank. On dirt roads the tank water runs out the overflow line and I lose about 25 gal. Tried wriggling it back and forth would not go in the PEX line no matter how I tried. Will try heating the line up with a heat gun and see how that works, hopefully I will not damage the PEX line.
The part I ordered came in exactly what I needed. Thank you for a stress free transaction!
Appears well built.
