Today we're going to review part number P10002. This is the Putco high power three-LED flush-mount Luminex block lamp. It's nine watts and it gives off a 15-degree spot pattern. Now this part includes everything shown here on the table. Includes the block lamp, the wiring harness, an Illuminated switch, mounting hardware, and a nice set of detailed instructions. Now this is a low-profile LED block lamp. Delivers a bright focus light.

The pattern it gives off, light pattern, is a 15-degree spot beam. That's created by these chrome-back focus lenses. It is a flush-mount design, delivers a sleek, unobtrusive look. Has a very high quality light output from a single row of three 3-watt Nichia LEDs. These are quality LEDs with a 50,000-hour lifespan. Now this block lamp does have built-in safeguards.

Its thermal-controlled chips help prevent the LEDs from overheating. Also has the over and under voltage protection which helps keep the lamp operating at the correct voltage. It is a durable waterproof, corrosion-resistant construction. Has a nice black anodized billet aluminum housing, which is very lightweight and rustproof. The LEDs are fully potted to protect the fragile components, and it has industry-standard protection against dust and moisture. Now this block lamp will mount into your grill or your bumper.

The mounting hardware is included. Now the cutting is required. Basically if you want this to sit flush you would have to cut it out back that size right back here. Now the wiring harness is included, has the illuminated switch which you turn it on and off with. On the other end has a industry-standard Deutsch connector.

What's nice about the Deutsch connector, it has a triple seal right around here, that orange part you see. When you go to plug this into your light it's a very snug fit and it snaps into place, gives you a nice weatherproof seal when connecting to your light. Now these parts are made in the USA. The specs on this: this is three LEDs at three watts each, so a total of nine watts. Power draw on this is .75 amps. The input voltage is 12 volts to 36 volts DC. The operating temperature range for this block lamp is -100 degrees Fahrenheit up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. Has a limited two-year warranty. The light output on this, the brightness is 1,200 lumens. Again, the narrow beam: 15-degree spot pattern. The color temperature that the light gives off is 6,000 degrees Kelvin. Measurement on this: it's 5-3/4" long, 2-1/4" tall, and about 3/4" deep. What we're basically going to do is I'm going to hook this up, attach it to some 12-volt power to show you how bright the lights are and try to show you the pattern it gives off. What we'll first want to do is take the Deutsch connector. We'll go ahead and plug this in. Now we got that all plugged in. Then we'll go to the other part of wires. Now this wiring harness does have a relay right here. Now this section of wires will have three pigtail wires with female connectors, has blue red and black. If you take your illuminated switch, it's a toggle switch, there's three tabs on there and they're marked one, two, and three. The directions will tell you you take the red, put it to the number one just like that, and the blue goes to the middle or the number two. Then the black will go on the number three tab. The switch is all connected. Then our last connection will be the power and the ground. You can see this separate part of wire has the red with the eyelet on it and it has an inline fuse holder. It includes a 15-amp fuse to protect the circuit. We'll go ahead and clip this to our 12-volt power supply. Then we'll take the black wire, same way it has the eyelet on it, and we'll hook this to our ground. Now what we'll go ahead and do is turn off our overhead lights, and then we'll go ahead and turn on our 12-volt power. You'll be able to see when I turn t illuminated switch on. Right here in my hand you can see the red do not. That means it's on. If you turn it off and then turn it on - it's a rock switch - you can see the three LEDs. Three watts each so a total of nine watts. Gives off some pretty good light for three LEDs. I'm going to rotate it around here just to try to give you the idea there's the pattern on the back wall. It's a 15-degree narrow spot beam. Now we'll go ahead and just turn off t light. We'll go ahead and turn on our overhead lights. Now one another thing I did want to mentioned, that there is an option if you want a switch comes with it but if you want to operate these lights wirelessly we sell separately on our website a wireless remote that would plug into where this switch is. Instead of these three wires going to the switch you can plug it into that wireless remote. We do sell that separately on our website as part number P8770F.
