Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at this TeraPump battery-powered fuel transfer pump for gas cans. This battery-operated pump is going to let you transfer fuel from your gas can to your car, mower, boat, ATV, snowmobile, generators, and more with no funnels and virtually no spilling and no lifting required. So it's gonna be perfect to have on hand in your garage, in your shop, have around in your yard or farm and on the dock. Now this pump is compatible with non-corrosive liquids such as gas, non-potable water, kerosene, diesel, or light oils. However it is not compatible with thinners or solvents, hot water, drinking water, acetone, benzene, cerosol, ethyl, phenol, methyl ethyl, concentrated caustic liquid soda, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid. So why do you need a pump like this Well, some gas cans can have safety features such as what you see here on the nozzle of this gas can which are good and which are helpful but sometimes they can make it more difficult to pour your fuel out and sometimes it can be quite messy.
So this pump is going to bypass all of that. So I've got another can here and I'm just gonna go ahead and remove the cap. And so all you have to do is stick this pump in the can just like that, and lemme zoom out here a little bit. and so with this pump, like I said, you're gonna bypass hassling with safety features on the gas can nozzle and this is going to let you easily pump that fuel from your can to wherever you're needing that fuel. So this is going to be a lot cleaner for you and a lot more convenient.
So lemme go ahead and remove my pump here and get this can out of the way. The intake, the measurement of the intake tube on this pump, so measuring from where this is going to be sitting in the can all the way down, we're sitting about 15 1/2 inches or so. I measured this earlier and the diameter is about 1 3/16 inches. So this is going to fit virtually all types of gas cans and this is going to be a very simple operation. This has a power switch right here on the top that's going to activate the pump.
And this is powered by two AA batteries. So let me open up the panel there and this does not include the AA batteries, so if you are in need of them, we also carry those AA batteries here at etrailer.com. Now our discharge hose measures right at about 24 inches long overall and this has a transfer rate of 2.8 gallons per minute. And as you probably already noticed, this has a holder here to hold the discharge hose when it's not in use so it's going to keep it out of your way and make it a little bit more portable, as well. Speaking of portability, the pump size is going to be very easy to transport and store.
The overall height from top to bottom is right at 21 inches tall. And then the head of the pump, where it's gonna be basically sticking out from the can, we're sitting right at about 6 inches tall overall and the width is about 1 3/16 inches wide. Now instructions are included and this is a a great little pump. However, I have a recommendation for you on a pump that I would prefer over this one. It's virtually identical in every way. The gallons per minute is a little bit lower. This one is sitting at 2.4 gallons per minute. The one that I'm recommending over the one that we have here on the table, it sits at 2.8 gallons per minute. But the reason I like this one is it does have an auto stop sensor, so you're not gonna have to worry about possibly overflowing the receptacle that you're putting, transferring fuel to. And it also has a locking clip on that discharge nozzle, giving you virtually a hands-free experience when you're transferring fuel. So if you are interested in that one, I do have our item number on your screen. Just take that item number and put it in the search field of our website here at etrailer.com and it will take you to that pump with the auto stop and the locking clip on the discharge nozzle. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..

This is the best. I’ve also given 1 of these to 2 of my friends and they rave about them.
I use these for lawnmowers, weed whackers, Ranger and snow throwers. It’s like pulling up to a gas station and filling up. It also prevents spills. Well you can spill but it’s designed Not to. 5 Stars!!!
I like this pump and use it for kerosene transfer to a heater. It works well quickly making the transfer. I use the can adapters on two different 5 gallon cans. The manufacturer needs to make a sealing cap that fits the pump threads on each adapter when taking the can for a fill-up.I would give it 5 stars if that were the case.
This is a great transfer pump, well made, works as advertised. Simple to use and fits all my fuel cans
It’s awesome
I purchased this fuel pump to use for refueling from 5 gallon gas tanks. It empties 5 gallons in about 4 minutes. It is much easier than holding the 5 gallon tank while trying to refill a gas tank.
Sofar seems to work fine
Awesome product
great job great customer service and really fast shipping
At first blush....unimpressed. everything is plastic....which by itself may not be bad....but it's thin and likely not going to hold up to cold or any kind of impact. Haven't tried it yet but even good performance won't make the materials better.
I like it. It is used to fuel my farm tractor. It was very hard to get the can up onto the tractor and pour it. This pump is so nice I just set the fuel can on the floor board and the nozzle reaches the fuel tank. I should have bought this product years ago.
This unit as worked so well, I have told several people to purchase it. My wife can fill her own lawn tractor now and doesn't have to wait for me to come home. It is awesome.
they fit very hard on my VP race jugs and they leak right at the jug. The large black part that screws onto the jug is kinda junk. Not reliable to not leak if tipped just very little and very hard to screw on without cross threading.
Works well transferring diesel from truck bed tank to OEM tank. I didn't want to alter the bed with holes or alter OEM tank with fuel line modifications while in warranty. This was solution I chose and it worked perfect.
Great pump for transferring liquids, using mine for diesel and a second pump for gas. Batteries have a fair life, would prefer having a rechargeable pump or even better using he batteries for my DeWalt tools.
Made of good quality material. Appears to be well designed product. Hopefully works as good as I expect.
Had purchased 2 - these work great -
good product and you can't beat the service and fast shipping
Haven't tried it yet. I got the transfer pump last night and this email in the morning. If it doesn't work I will let you know right here.
This transfer pump has worked out well for filling my equipment without fuss or mess.
Great product. Fills quickly. Exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this fuel transfer pump.

The first product came damaged due to improper packaging actually bent in half. It was replaced. The product works great. I use rechargeable batteries because they do not corrode just go dead. So this causes a trip back to the house to get new ones. One issue in using this or I would assume any that are straight is that they do not get the last bit of gas out of the 5 gallon jug. I still have to lift it and dump in a funnel.
