Blind spot mirrors may be placed anywhere you wish, but they are typically located on the bottom outside corner of a vehicle's side-view mirror. The desired placement varies from one person to the next.
You can try out different placements by putting a piece of folded tape on the back of the blind spot mirror and sticking it onto your side-view mirror where you think you might want it. Then sit in your car or truck and check to see if the mirror is reflecting the area you'd like to see. Keep adjusting the placement until it suits your needs.
When you have the mirror where you want it, peel off the backing and stick it on permanently.

Hey there, haulers. Today, we're going to be taking a look at K Source's convex blind spot mirrors. These mirrors come in a quantity of one. So you can go ahead and add two to your cart if you'd want one for each side. Before we show off our mirrors, we're going to go ahead and get a baseline with our truck here that has factory blind spot mirrors on them. It's got that lower convex mirror there that's going to be similar to the blind spot convex mirrors that we're going to be adding to our older truck over there.
So here I can clearly be seen in our factory mirror, both the straight one on top, as well as our blind spot down on bottom that has the convex mirror.But as I take a step towards the outside, I'm no longer visible in our regular mirror, but I can still be seen in our lower blind spot mirror due to that convict shape. So now that you've seen what our factory mirrors look like, we're going to go ahead and install one of our blind spot mirrors on our older truck. And you're going to be able to compare to see that with these little mirrors, you're going to get the same functionality. And now we're going to take a look at K Source's blind spot mirrors, and it is smaller obviously than our factory truck that we had, but you can still get a complete view of our trailer.And just like with the factory truck, as I take a step towards the outside, I'm no longer visible in the flat mirror, but I can still be seen in our convex mirror, which is great for changing lanes and passing vehicles. I also really like it for backing up if I've got to get into any tight spots where I really need to get the trailer angled really hard.
Because in our factory mirror, I lose sight of the back of my trailer, but I can still see it and the blind spot mirror here. So as you can see here, I was able to easily and confidently get my trailer parked into a nice tight spot here right next to our truck.And you really couldn't have gotten any closer than this without a nice mirror to help you guide yourself in. I've also found them quite useful when hauling a 30 or 40 foot camper. It's great for your RVs as well. They're extremely long to increase your viewing angle there.
And I also find it great for your regular vehicles that just have some blind spots that really bother you. You can throw those in and eliminate those blind spots. Compared to our factory mirror, which is flat, this mirror is going to be a convex shape, which gives you a wider viewing angle than a flat near.You do want to keep in mind though that on a convex mirror objects may be closer than they appear. Our blind spot mirror measures three and a half by two and a quarter inches, so it doesn't obstruct too much of our factory mirror. Now before you pull off the backing and stick it onto your mirror, I highly recommend you just hold it up there.
Maybe get an assistant to help hold it up in a place while you sit at your normal sitting angle in your vehicle so you can find the best angle because you can rotate them and put them in all the different ways that works best for you.The installation couldn't be any simpler. It has an adhesive pad here on the back that comes included with it. You'll simply want to remove the adhesive backing and then stick it in place on your mirror. I highly recommend that you clean your mirror to ensure that you get good adhesion to it. And that completes our look at K Source's convex blind spot mirrors.

These mirrors stick on tightly and stay on. They give great additional view of vehicles otherwise in the blind spot. Be sure to place them such that they don't hit the window if the mirrors are folded back.
I appreciate the level of knowledge and due care of the rep from etrailer. This particular product could be more concave but maybe that would make the vehicles appear even further than they do appear.
Oveall its nice to deal with a company that gives a crap about their level of service given.

I mostly want to thank etrailer for helping me with a mistake I made on the order. They made it easy for me to correct my mistaken order and get the correct size mirrors. The K-Source mirrors are the best I have found; the way they adjust is so much more functional than every other blind spot mirror I have tried - and I have tried a lot of them.
Useful on a caged tractor application. Easy to keep track of pulled implements. Replaced the 1 inch square adhesive tab with a full size 2 inch 3M double stick pad. No wobble and clear view to the rear.

The K-Source 3" Round Blind Spot Adjustable Convex Mirrors add a high degree of comforting safety for the driver while in traffic.
I stuck them in the lower outside corner of both outside rearview mirrors on my Toyota Sequoia. I then simply pushed to adjust them to where I can see the entire other car in the adjacent traffic lane (on either side of my car) all the way up to where the other car's front bumper is next to my front door!
Now, THAT's a convex mirror that does the job well!
Although I always look before changing lanes (duh!), I know exactly what I am going to see in advance. This makes driving in traffic MUCH safer for everyone and easier on the nerves.
An added benefit -- convex mirrors make backing into a parking space a breeze. You can see the painted stripes of the parking space on the bottom of both convex mirrors. Do the higher math and create the same space between each stripe and your vehicle, put'er in reverse and simply stop before kissing the concrete wall! What could be easier? Well, going in straight would be easier, but then you have the hazard of backing out into the parking lot kamikazes. Go ahead, learn a new skill set, back in next time with confidence using your new convex mirrors.
I have used convex mirrors for many years and the K-Source Mirrors are perfect...simply peal and stick and watch your visual awareness on the road improve dramatically. You will kick yourself for not having used them before!
