Video Transcript for A Closer Look at the Coghlan's Insect Shield Jacket

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Coghlan's insect shield jacket. This is a polyester mesh jacket that is gonna be extremely lightweight and flame retardant, so it is gonna to be nice and cool as you're out hiking. You're not gonna have that extra heat build up, but it does have this ultra fine mesh with the 1,150 holes per square inch, that's gonna help protect you from mosquitoes, no seeumms, ticks and other tiny insects. This does also have elastic draw strings at the cuffs and at the waist to allow you to fit it to your body, so that you're gonna be very few openings possible for insects to get in, so very easy to adjust that. So it's gonna be nice and tight on your wrists and your waist.

We're also going to have a zippered opening for your head. So if you need to open that up to get a drink or something like that, simply undo that and then pull the hood off and you're ready to put it back on. Very simple. Just pull it back over and then you've got zippers on both sides. So you can decide how you want to zip that across.

Now, this does come in four different sizes. So depending on your body type and weight, there is a small for folks that are up to 160 pounds. There's a medium for up to 200 pounds, large up to 240 pounds or the extra large like I have on here for up to 300 pounds. I am about a six foot three and pushing about 290 pounds. So that gives you an idea of how this fits.

These are unisex sizes, so you're gonna have a lot of room in here to accommodate different body types. And I think this is going to do a really good job for you. That mesh seems to be fine enough that you're not gonna have to worry about insects getting in. And it is light enough that I don't think it's going to be a huge hindrance as you're out hiking. You can definitely still see through.

So you're not gonna miss any of the beauty of nature. Just gonna help to enjoy that time outdoors a little bit more without having to worry about those insects biting you.
