Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Chevrolet Suburban Trailer Hitch Cover for 2" Hitches. This is an officially licensed product. It simply slides into the receiver tube of your hitch. It's going to keep out dirt and grime, which is going to prevent corrosion. It also makes it really easy, and the next time you're ready to slide a ball mount or accessory into your hitch, you don't have to worry about, most of the time, cleaning it out just to get it to fit in. Again, that's going to do a great job at keeping those unwanted items out of your hitch, when the receiver tube is not being used.
It also adds a clean, finished look to the vehicle. It's going to feature the rotary engraved Chevrolet Suburban emblem with the durable, UV'' resistant, black epoxy fill. It's going to be a chrome-plated, solid-brass faceplate. It adds a lot of style to the vehicle. It's going to feature this stainless-steel base, that's going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion, very strong and durable. And it's going to come with three foam gaskets.
These are included to help eliminate rattle between the back of the faceplate and the opening of the receiver tube of your hitch. You can use one, two, or a combination of all three if you need to, whatever you need to use to help reduce or eliminate that rattle. The other neat feature is it's going to come with a very low-profile, locking, stainless-steel bolt that secures the hitch cover inside the receiver tube of the hitch. You can see here, that to unlock it and to tighten it, it requires a special tool, and the special tool is included with the hitch cover. When you're sliding this into the receiver tube of the hitch, you're going to have two pin holes to choose from. Simply just choose whatever one works best for your application.
Again, this is designed for a 2" by 2" hitch. Taking a measurement of the faceplate, it's going to give us a measurement of around 6" by about 3-1/4. It is a very simple installation. You just need to pick the appropriate amount of pads that you need for your installation. Again, these are just foam gaskets. I'm going to go ahead and use all three.
Then, when you're ready, simply just insert it into the receiver tube of your hitch. So I take it, slide it in, line up your pin holes, insert the bolt that comes with it. Thread those two pieces together. Then you just finish that tightening process with the included tool. Then, you can see there, those gaskets really help fill in that space between the back of the faceplate and the opening of the tube of your hitch. That's going to do it for today's look at the Chevrolet Suburban Trailer Hitch Cover for 2" Hitches.
