Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this ratcheting clamp with the one and a half inch capacity and a 17 pound clamping pressure. Now, this ratcheting hand clamp will provide a nice firm grip, quick clamping attachment had a nice spring release mechanism that offers easy one hand release. It is great for light duty jobs where one could use a bit more clamping force than just a traditional spring clamp, but not as much as a bar clamp. So, this is very easy to use and durable.I want to zoom in so you can see it has a nice high strength, rubber grip nylon handle.

It has the pivoting soft jaws right here and they have V grooves on it for a nice . If you're using it on a round application, it'll still give you good grip. And if you notice on the very end, it has the swiveling pads, which will provide a nice secure clamping on a variety of shapes and work surfaces. Again, the maximum clamping pressure is 17 pounds.Two measurements on this I want to give you. The overall length if we go from one end to the other is right at about five inches long.

The capacity if we open this up, in other words, we're going to measure here to here, right across, is going to be right at about one and a half inches. And the throat depth from the end here to the very inside is going to be right at about one and three quarter inches.So, I'm just going to zoom out and show you, I got a couple pieces of wood here. So, if we just wanted to clamp those pieces together, you can see you can just open it up, put it over there and then push all the way down the pivoting heads there adjust to it and then you squeeze it, it gives it some force and keeps it all together. And then to remove it, you have this little lever right here. So, as you're holding it, you can release that lever and it will release the clamp, just like that.
