Ellen: Hey, everybody. I'm Ellen 00:00:00:01, here at etrailer.com, and we're taking a quick look at the pushpin pliers. These are a great tool to help you get into any kind of compartment in your vehicle that has pushpins. A lot of times, if you're trying to get access to your tail lights or a threshold, you're trying to get that up, to get access to the wiring or do anything like that, there's going to be some pushpins that you have to take out.A lot of times, it'll be kind of a two part pin. So they'll be a plunger that goes into the housing, that actually seats in a hole in the frame or wherever it is or the metal of your vehicle, so you need to take that plunger part out so that you can remove the whole thing. It's kind of a little locking mechanism.A lot of times, it can be kind of hard to get underneath that head because there's sometimes a little kind of a raised ring around that, and it can be hard to get a screwdriver or anything else underneath.
So these are going to help to grip around that and allow you to grab onto it and then pry whichever way you need to gently remove that pushpin. So it's just going to be this kind of specialized little plier piece here. Again, we'll have that angled head, so it's going to grip around the head of the pin and then allow you to either pry up or up like this, to get that out.Should be pretty simple to use. Has kind of a foam grip to it, to make it a little bit more comfortable for your hands. It's not something you're going to be using all the time, usually, but it is very handy to get access to any of those pushpins. It should be useful for most of your common anchor pushpins, on anything from a Honda, Toyota, GM, Ford, Chrysler, VW, Mercedes, all kinds of other manufacturers.
As far as the size, we'll give you a measurement here, just for reference. These pliers are about seven inches long and about three and a quarter inch wide. Just again for reference. That's pretty much it for our look at the pushpin pliers. I hope this has helped in deciding if this is the right tool for you. We do have a lot of other tools available here at etrailer.com, along with a lot of wiring accessories and all kinds of things for your vehicles, RVs, boats, and more.
So check them out right here. Thanks for watching.
