Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this Coleman Mach Roughneck Mach 3, 13,500 BTU RV Air Conditioner in this textured black shroud. Now at 13,500 BTU, this is going to give you enough cooling power for smaller to mid-size RVs. Think about 30 foot long and shorter, and this is gonna be great for camping out in those moderate climates. This Roughneck series is gonna be specifically designed for harsher environments.
So if you travel in areas with extreme heat, and with lots of dust and even rugged terrain, this unit is made to hold up better than a standard rooftop air conditioner. It has a sturdier build and reinforced components, so it's not gonna get rattled apart as easily on those bumpy back roads. For instance, this has an internal brace plate assembly that's going to secure the condenser coil and compressor from high vibrations and a welded wire compressor clamp that's gonna limit the motion of the compressor. Taking a look at some measurements here, the overall length roughly, we're sitting at about 38 inches long. The overall width, about 26 or so inches wide.
And then this is a medium profile unit, so it's gonna be almost 14 inches tall. This is going to work with your standard RV roof openings of 14 and a quarter inches by 14 and a quarter inches. And this unit weighs about 80 pounds. So this is a rooftop AC only, and this is only gonna be compatible with, this will be compatible rather with both ducted and ductless systems. You'll just have to make sure that you have the appropriate air distribution box.
I wanted to show you the wiring harness here that'll plug into the air distribution box. This will just be pulled through the opening of your roof, and so as you know, whether the air gets distributed through the vents, that's gonna be your ducted system or just plunges straight down, that'll be your non-ducted system, you'll need to pair this with a compatible Coleman Mach air distribution box and thermostat if your system needs a thermostat to complete that cooling setup. Now, this is not going to be backwards compatible with any system or component air conditioner system or component from 2024 or earlier because this uses the new R32 refrigerant that meets the 2025 EPA regulations. So if you don't have a compatible air distribution box or thermostat, we do carry kits with this unit and with the appropriate air distribution box for your ducted or ductless systems and thermostats. So be aware of the fact that this is just gonna be for the AC unit only, but we do have kits if you need the complete kit.
But primarily, I just wanted you to know that this is not gonna work with any component that's not gonna be compliant with that R32 refrigerant. Now, I know that's a lot of information, can be confusing. If you do need any more assistance or help, don't hesitate to reach out to us. We ultimately wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you want and need. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
