Different trailers never sit at the same height, but this adjustable ball mount makes it simple to line them up. The platform slides along the 2" shank in 1" increments, giving you up to 8" of drop or 9" of rise. Just set the height, lock the dual pins in place, and your trailer stays level and steady behind you.
Towing two trailers with different coupler sizes doesn’t have to mean swapping mounts. This setup includes both a 2" and a 2-5/16" chrome-plated steel ball on the same platform. Pull the pins, flip the platform, and you’re ready for the next trailer. The 2" ball handles up to 8,000 lbs GTW, while the 2-5/16" ball is rated for 12,500 lbs GTW with a maximum tongue weight of 1,500 lbs.
Once you’re finished towing, flip the platform under your vehicle instead of removing it. The stowable design keeps the hitch tucked up and out of your way so you don’t bump into it walking around the back of your truck. It’s quick to flip using the same dual pins that lock it for towing—no tools needed.
Built from tough 6061-T6 billet aluminum, the shank and mounting platform are solid but surprisingly light. That means less struggle when adjusting height and no compromise on strength. The chrome-plated steel balls add corrosion resistance for long-term durability in wet or salty conditions.
The mount fits standard 2" x 2" trailer hitch receivers and keeps everything secure with precision tolerances. It’s SAE J684 certified and VESC V-5 compliant, so you can tow knowing it meets proven safety standards every time you hook up.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe 180 Hitch with two ball mount for your two inch shank. Now this 180 Hitch will slide into your two inch hitch receiver, and give you a two inch and a two and five 16 inch double sided tow ball. So this is going to allow you to switch tow ball sizes very easily and this is going to give you an a maximum of an eight inch drop in this orientation. And then when you flip this over, you're gonna get a maximum of a nine inch rise with an incremental adjustment of one inch.
So this is going to give you that height adjustability that you're looking for so you can tow trailers of different heights with the same tow vehicle. Now when you're using the two and five 16 inch hitch ball, the gross towing weight is gonna be 12,500 pounds. With the two inch ball, it's gonna be 8,000 pounds. This has a maximum tongue weight of 1,500 pounds. This hitch is constructed of aircraft aluminum, so this is going to give you that superior strength and durability.
The solid block construction is going to give you greater strength than a lot of hollow steel options that's gonna maintain a light weight. So obviously this is going to be rust proof. This clean finish is going to stand the test of time. This is gonna be great to use with like your bow trailers anywhere where you're gonna be around water frequently. And the hitch balls here are chrome plated.
So again, they're gonna do a great job of resisting corrosion. This features a dual pin slider lock that's going to make adjusting the height, and switching the tow ball sizes very easy. So I'm gonna remove this rubber cover that's included. That covers obviously gonna protect the lock core from dust and debris. You're gonna get two tube keys here and so I'm gonna use one of them, slide it into the lock, give it a turn here.
And then that's going to allow me to remove the pins here. I'm gonna go ahead and remove that. And so the pins and the housing are aluminum, and the lock here, this is a plated steel lock. So again, this is gonna hold up to corrosion as well. You're not gonna have to worry about that getting corroded or anything like that. And so as you can see, this is going to slide up and down very easily with no problems whatsoever. So that's going to allow me to easily not only adjust the height, but also adjust the ball size just like that. And then a really nice feature here is that you're gonna be able to stow this as well. So if you're not needing to use the balls and you want to get this outta your way, you can just stow it like that. You'll line up the holes there, and slide the pin in just like that. And then you're not gonna have to worry about walking past and accidentally banging your shin into the ball. So that's a nice feature that this includes. So let me go ahead and replace this, and then I'm gonna go ahead, and replace our pins here. So I'm gonna line up those holes like that. And so you can see how every how smoothly everything operates, it's gonna be virtually no time at all to make those adjustments that you need or get the ball sides that you need, and you're not gonna be struggling at the back of your truck. Now, while I have this lined up like this, let me retrieve my ruler, give you some measurements here that might prove helpful for you. So the first measurement I want to give you is from the center of the hitch pin. I'm sorry. From the center of the hitch ball to the center of our first hitch pin hole. So hopefully you can see that there. That's gonna be about eight and a half inches on center. And then moving over to the center of our second hitch pin hole, pretty close to nine and five eights inches. And then from the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about one and seven eights inches. This is V5 and J684 certified. But I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together has been helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Still looks and works great! I added air bags to the rear suspension of the truck, which raised it up a bit with the trailer connected. Simply moved the ball mount down and the trailer is level again. Perfect!

I did reach out to the manufacturer with the feedback about the lock. While this is not covered under warranty, they dd provide a solution for me. You can install a new locking dual pin assembly and dust cap. The instructions can be obtained by contacting us or Weigh Safe. The replacement locking dual pin assembly is part # WS03 and the dust cap is part # WS08.

The ball mount performed impeccably. Its highly adjustable, effortlessly handling my 8500-pound trailer with about 1,300 pounds of tongue weight across a rugged six-mile stretch of washboard road filled with dips and rocks. This product is exceptional.
