Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weight Safe built-in scale hitch with two stainless steel balls designed for your three-inch trailer hitch receiver. Now, this ball mount is going to be ideal if you are looking for a highly durable and easy-to-use hitch. And this features a built-in scale that's going to let you easily measure your tongue weight, making sure that you have better towing safety and performance. And this is going to slide into your three-inch trailer hitch receiver and give you two stainless steel balls.

We're gonna get a 2-5/16-inch ball and a two-inch ball, so you can tow different types of trailers. And this is going to be ideal if you tow large, heavy-duty trailers like those used for hauling commercial loads or heavy equipment or large recreational vehicles. This will also give you a drop. When you have the shank in this orientation, you're gonna get a maximum drop of six inches. When you flip this over, you'll get a maximum rise of seven inches with an incremental adjustment of one inch.

So this is gonna be very versatile to allow you to have various towing setups, giving you that height adjustability that you're looking for, so you can tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. Now, the gross towing weight when you are using the 2-5/16-inch hitch ball is gonna be 21,000 pounds. With the two-inch ball it's gonna be 10,000 pounds, and the maximum tongue weight of this unit is 2,200 pounds. So as I mentioned, this does feature a tongue weight scale built into the ball mount platform that's gonna help you balance your trailer for safer towing. This scale's gonna let you know if your load needs to be adjusted before you tow, and it's gonna be a very simple operation.

This is automatically gonna provide a measurement for you every time you couple your trailer, so it's efficient and it's hassle free. You're not gonna have to worry about trying to use your bathroom scale or taking your trailer to a commercial scale or anything like that. It's going to be just that easy to use this. This also features a dual pin slider lock that's going to make adjusting the height very simple. So I'm gonna go ahead and remove this included cover and insert one of the four keys that's included with this, and I'm just gonna give it a turn.

And then, that's going to allow me to remove our dual pin slider lock. This is a a very durable piece of equipment here. Our pins are aluminum, our housing are aluminum, and then the lock is plated steel. So this is going to do a great job of securing the ball platform to the shank here. And then, you're not gonna have to worry about corrosion because of how it's built and designed. I did want to point out how easily the ball platform slides up and down this shank, so you're not gonna have any problems getting that height adjustment that you're looking for. And then, I wanted to show you how easy it is to swap out the ball. So currently, I have my two-inch ball, and you can either tip this over and usually that retaining pin will slide out. Or if it gets tight in there, you can just use this ring to pull that pin out. And then, I'm just going to remove my two-inch ball and replace it with my 2-5/16-inch ball. You do wanna line up the holes there. (hardware clanking) And then, I am just going to insert this back into place. You wanna make sure that pin's pushed all the way in and the ring is in that cavity there. And then, I'm just going to put it back on my shank. And so now, I'm ready to tow with my 2-5/16-inch hitch ball. I'm gonna go ahead and replace my dual pin slider lock that's gonna slide very easily into place. (keys clattering) And then, just replace the cover and I can go on down the road. (plastic cover clicking) So another feature that I appreciate here is our included hitch pin lock. And so that's going to secure, obviously, this entire unit into your three-inch trailer hitch receiver. And I mentioned you got four keys. Everything is keyed alike, so one key's gonna operate the hitch pin lock and the dual pin slider lock, and you'll basically have three keys just to have as a backup. So this really has built-in theft deterrent for the investment that you're making here. You're gonna be able to securely lock your ball platform to the shank, and then the entire unit you can lock it to your trailer hitch receiver. So it's gonna do a great job of deterring theft and protecting the investment that you're making. This hitch is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum. This is gonna give you superior strength and durability, and this has this really nice, very premium Cerakote finish and it's in black, as you can see. This finish is a ceramic coating that's gonna give you an extra layer of corrosion resistance, scratch protection, and durability. But not only does this finish make this hitch look great on the back of your truck, but if you happen to tow in harsh environments such as salty winter roads or extreme weather conditions, this durable finish is gonna do a great job of protecting this hitch, keeping it looking great and helping this to work properly for many years to come. Now, as I mentioned, four keys are included. Everything is keyed like. Let me give you some measurements here. Measuring from the center of the first hitch pin hole to the center of our ball, we're sitting about 8-1/2 inches. Moving to the center of the second hitch pin hole, about 9-5/8 inches. And then, from the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about 1-7/8 inches. And so this is going to be great if you're the type of person that especially demands reliability, safety, and durability from your towing equipment. Whether you're a seasoned RV owner or you happen to tow quite a bit, this hitch is going to offer you a tongue weight scale, so you always have an accurate measurement of your tongue weight. And with this really great premium finish, it's gonna give you superior corrosion resistance. And then, with the the ball, the different ball sizes and the height adjustability, it's gonna be very flexible to allow you to tow different types of trailers in different heights.
