If you tow different trailers, keeping them all level can be tricky. The Weigh Safe 180 Hitch makes it easy with its fully adjustable design that gives you up to a 10" drop or an 11" rise. Slide the ball mount platform along the shank in 1" increments, lock it in place with the dual pins, and your trailer sits level every time. A balanced setup means steadier tracking and even load handling on the road.
Heavy towing demands solid construction and real strength. This hitch’s solid block, aircraft-grade 6061-T6 billet aluminum shank and mounting platform are built for that kind of work. The chrome-plated steel hitch balls are corrosion resistant and rated for serious capacity—12,500 lbs GTW on the 2-5/16" ball and 8,000 lbs GTW on the 2" ball, with a maximum tongue weight of 1,500 lbs. It’s strong yet lightweight, ready for whatever heavy trailer you need to move.
When you tow more than one trailer, swapping coupler sizes can slow you down. This setup fixes that with a quick-change dual ball design—2" on one side, 2-5/16" on the other. Pull the dual pins, flip the platform, reinsert the pins, and you’re ready for the next trailer in seconds. No loose parts to keep track of and no tools needed—just a simple flip to match your coupler size.
For times when you’re not towing, this mount keeps things tidy. The platform flips under and mounts to the back side of the shank so nothing sticks out behind your bumper. It keeps your shins safe and gives your truck a clean look without having to remove the hitch from the receiver.
Road debris and salt can eat through ordinary finishes fast. The black Cerakote coating on this hitch shrugs off chips, dings, and rust so it stays looking sharp year after year. Combined with chrome-plated hitch balls that resist corrosion, it’s a setup made for long hauls and tough conditions without worrying about wear.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this weight safe 180 hitch with two-ball mount for your two-inch trailer hitch receiver. Now, this 180 hitch is going to slide into your two-inch trailer hitch receiver, making this compatible with a wide range of towing setups. This is going to give you versatility in terms of vehicle and trailer configurations, and this is going to give you a two-inch and a 2 5/16-inch double-sided chrome-plated steel tow ball, making switching tow ball sizes very easy so you can tow different trailer types such as a smaller utility trailer, a camper, or a boat trailer. Now this dual functionality is going to help eliminate the need for you to have multiple hitches. Now, this is also going to give you, when you have the shank in this orientation, a maximum of a 10-inch drop.
And then when you flip this over, you'll get a maximum rise of 11 inches with the incremental adjustment of one inch. So this is going to give you that height adjustability that you need so you can tow trailers of different heights all with the same vehicle. When using the 2 5/16 hitch ball, you're gonna get a gross towing weight of 12,500 pounds. With a two-inch ball, it's gonna be 8,000 pounds, and then the maximum tongue weight is going to be 1,500 pounds. Taking a closer look, this hitch is constructed of aircraft grade aluminum, giving you superior strength and durability.
And this features a premium black Cerakote finish. This finish, it's a ceramic coating that's going to give you an extra layer of corrosion resistance, scratch protection, and durability. So not only does this finish make this hitch look great on the back of your vehicle, but if you are towing in harsh environments such as salty winter roads or extreme weather conditions, this durable finish is going to do a great job of protecting the hitch while making it look good and working properly for many years to come. Now this also features a dual pin slider lock, which is going to make adjusting the height and switching the tow ball sizes very simple. So I'm just gonna remove this rubber cap, I wanna give you a brief demonstration of that.
I'm just gonna stick the key in and give it a turn and that's gonna loosen it up for me and that's going to allow me to remove this. By the way, the pins are aluminum along with the housing and our lock is plated steel. This is a very durable slider lock, so it's gonna do a good job of not only keeping this ball platform secured in the shank, but it's gonna do a great job of resisting corrosion as well. If you notice, our ball platform slides up and down very easily, so you're not gonna be struggling to get that height adjustment or the tow ball size that you're looking for. You're not gonna be at the back of your vehicle struggling with this.
So let me go ahead and turn this around and I'm gonna go ahead and replace our dual slider pin here, just like that. And then I'm gonna go ahead and remove, replace rather the cap as well to protect that keyway. So as you can see, this is going to be very simple to use. I also wanted to point out one of the favorite additions of this unit is this hitch pin lock here. So this is going to give you really maximum theft deterrent with allowing you to lock your ball platform into the shank here. And then also locking the whole unit into your trailer hitch receiver. So I'm gonna take one of the keys again, and much like our dual slider pin, just gonna give it a turn, and you are going to get four keys. And all these keys are a key to like, so one key is going to operate everything here and so you're not gonna have to worry about multiple keys or anything like that. So again, everything's gonna be very easy to use and you're not gonna have to worry about struggling with adjusting this or anything like that. Now let me go ahead and give you some measurements here. Measuring from the center of our first hitch pin hole to the center of the ball, we're sitting about 8.5 inches. From the center of the second hitch pin hole, about 9 5/8 inches. And then from the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about 1 7/8 inches. So if you are looking for a hitch that's going to be a great long-term investment for you, that is going to give you a lot of flexibility, safety, it's gonna be durable, especially because of the premium coating on this, and it's gonna be very easy to use as we saw, and this is really gonna be an excellent option for you to consider. Well, that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Sorry to hear that, George. What was missing and what is the year, make, and model of your truck? I haven't run into this not fitting a 2-1/2" hitch before and I'm surprised it wouldn't fit.
