This Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver gives you the freedom to bring more along for the ride. With a 1,500 lbs gross trailer weight rating and 150 lbs tongue weight rating, it’s perfect for light-duty towing and gear hauling. Whether it’s a small cargo carrier, utility trailer, or bike rack, the 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening gives you a secure connection for the accessories you use most.
The concealed cross tube keeps the hitch tucked neatly under the rear bumper so only the receiver is visible. It blends in cleanly for a low-profile, factory-style finish. You get a sturdy connection point without changing the overall look of your vehicle.
The hitch body is made from fully welded, square-tube steel for strength and long-term durability. It’s finished in a gloss black powder coat over a protective base layer that resists rust and corrosion from road salt and weather. The result is a solid, dependable hitch that keeps looking good even after miles of towing and hauling.
Installing this hitch doesn’t require welding or special tools. The bolt-on design lines up with existing mounting points for an easy install using common hand tools. A complete hardware kit and installation instructions are included so you can get it mounted and ready for use right at home.

Installed exactly as the directions said. Took about an hour.
The hitch was simple to install using online videos I watched in advance. It functions well and was a reasonable price.
Great hitch receiver. The horizontal bar is fully hidden under the Nissan Leaf's under cover. Only downside is there was some paint damage that must have occurred during shipping. It was easy to fix with some rust inhibiting black paint. I painted the receiver metallic cobalt blue to match the car trim, and it looks nice. Installation was medium difficulty due to drilling and enlarging a hole in the frame. Overall great purchase!
Second LEAF I've installed this hitch to. Works great!
Fit was correct. Looks good.
Great hitch! 1 year in and it works flawlessly. Install was a breeze on our 2021 Nissan Leaf. Zero complaints here!
Reasonably easy install onto a 2022 Nissan Leaf. I had to drill out a hole and fish. It took about two hours and there were plenty of youtube videos to help- no one video was exactly correct but they each aided part of the job. The Uhaul video was probably the most helpful one. My skill level is "average homeowner" but I have done this identical job once before on a different car and I have all the right tools. Snug fit, very secure, great product, fast shipping.
Perfect fit. Instructions should’ve said to cut the notch for the hitch bigger. Once recut, slid right in. Thanks strainer . My third purchase.
This is my fifth hitch installation. I am not impressed so far, it seemed less robust than the previous ones I had installed. Today I tried first time to tow just an empty trailer and heard a terrible squeaking noise right away. I found that it comes from the left side where the bolts are attached using fishwire technique and the hole is drilled. It also seems like the hitch flexes a tiny bit. I torqued all bolts and nuts with torque wrench and it seemed solid during installation. Now I have to take that plastic skirt down and see what the problem is. This will be the most unpleasant part in the cold month of January.

Thank you for your feedback Max_R. The CURT 11648 is built from formed steel designed to allow controlled flex, which helps protect the vehicle’s frame. Some noise can occur as the hitch and hardware settle, and it is recommended to re-torque all fasteners after the first short tow. I am curious, were the other hitches that you installed a 1 1/4" as well, or were they 2" receivers?
