Today we're going to take a look at the Curt 600 series Gooseneck Installation Kit for Dodge trucks. This is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 1990 to 2001 Dodge Ram 1,500 trucks. It also fits the '94 to 2002 Dodge Ram 2,500 and 3,500 series trucks. It will work on both 6-foot and 8-foot beds. Put in your year and model vehicle, and it will show you if this will work for your application. For this video, I have installed the side plates already, to the cross members, just to give you an idea what this looks like, all assembled underneath the bed of your truck. This kit will include all the necessary components for installation of a Curt under-bed Gooseneck hitch on specific pickup-truck models. The hitch would bolt into place right here. It is designed to be used with the Curt Double-lock Flip-and-store Gooseneck Hitch, the Curt Quick Goose To Gooseneck Hitch, and the Curt Under-bed Folding Gooseneck Hitch. All those hitches, we do sell separately on our website. This is a vehicle-specific design, so it does optimize the strength and installation time.

It is constructed of a high-strength steel, and it's also protected by a rust-resistant liquid Bonderite coating. It does include all the Grade 8 mounting hardware for installation. It comes with a nice set of detailed instructions. There is no welding or frame drilling required, and the truck bed does not need to be removed for installation. This part is made in the USA, and one last note is, the weight capacity on this is determined by that of the vehicle you're installing it on.
