Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this tailor-made marine grade gas strut. This is going to work on your boat hatch to make sure that it's gonna be a little bit easier for you to open up the hatch. And it's not going to allow it to slam shut, potentially causing damage to your gear or to yourself. So, really nice option here.
It does have the blade style connectors. So you can see there, those holes are right about, I'm gonna say 3/8 of an inch in diameter. And overall width from the center of one eye to the center of the other. We're at just over 10 inches. I'm going to call it 10 1/8 of an inch.
This does have a 20 pound compression force. So while I can push it in slightly, it is pretty difficult. So it is gonna do a good job of ensuring that your boat hatch is not gonna slam shut on you. And it will give you a little bit of extra help as you're lifting that hatch up. This is a heat treated steel construction.
So it's gonna be very durable. It's got a corrosion resistant coating that's gonna help it resist rusting. Even if you're using your boat in saltwater environments this is gonna hold up really well. Do a good job for you making sure that you can open and close that hatch lid very easily. So that's gonna complete our look for today.
Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
