Hey it's Ethan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at showing you how to install this WeatherTech front auto floor mats or our 2022 Ram 2,500. You're gonna want to use something like this, instead of maybe your regular carpet mats that you get factory, just because they're going to have a lot more durability. They have this rigid plastic core. And, as you can see, there are these channels built in. So if you do have some liquids or dirt or debris that fall into here, they're not only going to store here and be kept away from the interior of your vehicle but they're gonna funnel away from your feet so you're not gonna be tracking them around.
One of the advantages of this particular set is that it is one full, complete set, and there's no gap here in the middle. So you get complete coverage from your passenger side to your driver's side, and there's nowhere that the liquid that you might spill or dirt or debris that you might bring into here can get into the interior of the vehicle. Not only because it does have that coverage, but because it has this contoured lip going around the entire outside. Another nice thing about these mats is that they're really easy to get installed. To start, the first thing you're gonna want to do is remove your old mats if you have those in place. All we need to do is lift up by the anchor points. There are two. And slide the mats out. Here on the back of our new mats are the same places for those anchor points to go.
So once you have both of your mats removed from the car, we'll put the new mats in. There's not an easy way to do this necessarily, just sort of have to work with it and weave it around as best you can. Try not to scrape up the inside your car, and just sort of fit it around and weave it into place as best you can. I'm gonna have to go around to the other side to fit the passenger side mat in. Just doing the same thing, following the same process as before, there we go.
As you can see, fitting it into the middle, it's very flush around the inside. And we'll just line up those anchor points and snap 'em into place. (snapping) There you go, you can hear that pretty loud. You might have to adjust it ever so slightly. And there you go. Coming back around to the front, we're in the driver's side now. Same process, just finding where those anchor points line up, and snapping them into place. Might just need to do a little bit of micro adjusting here and there, to make sure that you're lined up. Do need to go back just a little bit here. There we go. And, once you have all four anchor points where you want 'em to be, the mat's installed. Overall, if you are somebody who maybe has a job where you're getting in and out of your vehicle pretty often with dirty shoes, or you maybe just have a family and you're prone to spills, or you're somewhere where it rains or snows a lot, these WeatherTech floor mats might be something that you wanna look into. They're gonna be durable, they're super easy to install. And overall, I think they're a really nice fit on our 2022 Ram 2,500.
