Video Transcript for Set up: WeatherTech Cargo Liner on a 2018 Honda CR-V

Rob: Rob 00:00:00 here at etrailer.com, and today you're going to be taking a look at the WeatherTech Cargo Liner on our 2018 Honda CR-V. Our cargo liners are going to be available in a few different colors. They'll be available in black, like we have here, tan, and in gray. You just want to check etrailer's fit guide to make sure you find the appropriate color for your CR-V.Now, having a cargo liner in the back of your hatch is going to make sure that the interior in the back stays nice and new for as long as we can. A lot of people may just throw a piece of carpet, or a piece of cardboard back there, we have some dirty gear, we don't want to dirty up our inside. But a piece of carpet or an extra piece of cardboard, it'll help protect the carpet a little bit, but if we have any kind of liquid, or anything that's going to be kind of seeping out, it will start soaking in.

And then we're going to have to spend time cleaning the carpet back here.As you can see, our WeatherTech Cargo Liner is going to be a perfect fit. It's going to be molded all along the edges so it follows the floorboard perfectly, and it's going to have this raised edge so that any contaminants that there are on our gear, they'll stay on the mat and it won't seep over onto the carpet. Our mat's going to have a really nice textured finish to it. That'll help the cargo from shifting around while we're driving, and then the channels here are going to help divert water away from our gear and off the carpet.The mat's going to be made out of a rubberized thermoplastic, and that's going to be pretty standard for most all weather mats. But, this is going to be a little bit softer than most of the floor liners in the front that WeatherTech has.

Most of those are a little bit stiff, but I really like the floor liner back here because it is softer, and you can see it's real easy to move and bend, but it also holds it shape real well so it sits nice and flat.Now, obviously, if we're putting all our gear back here, maybe we went camping, got some mud on it, or maybe we have some pets back here and there's dog hair, or whatever, our mat's going to get dirty. Well, cleaning it's going to be an extremely easy process. We're going to simple just pull it out, hose it off with some mild soap and water, let it air dry, and put it back in. Saves us a lot of time rather than trying to scrub the carpet back here.But the WeatherTech Floor Liner is going to be a really good option to protect the back area, all while still looking really nice. Some of the other universal mats on the market will fit, but they don't fit exactly the way they're supposed to so they don't really look all that nice.

And some of the other ones, the Canine Covers, it's more of a polyester material. It'll still fit, and it'll protect the area, but not as well as the WeatherTech and that rubberized material.But that'll finish up your look at the WeatherTech Cargo Liner on our 2018 Honda CR-V.
