Hi. Matt with the etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about the WeatherTech Second Row Auto Floor Mats in the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz. It's gonna be a solid choice if you or your guests kind of go into a lot of dirt, grime, water, or anything like that, and get on your shoes or boots. If you don't want that in your vehicle, this is gonna be a great way to catch all of that. As for how it installs, it's pretty straightforward.
It's just gonna contour to the back of our seats. So we wanna make sure these channels that pop out like this are gonna be on the outsides. So I'm just gonna come over here and kind of adjust it to fit. And I like to kind of push this cender piece here underneath until it slides right under. And once it's there, we can kind of adjust from there, making sure everything is seating properly.
And then once one side is done, you come over to the other side and repeat that process. I'd also recommend kind of pushing your seats forward, so you have a little bit more room just to kind of secure everything down. Our mat is gonna be constructed from this thicker material, and that material is gonna be nice because it's gonna be able to adjust to fit in everything, but also be durable enough to withstand a lot. It's also gonna be able to meld to the rest of our vehicle, so especially if it's like a hot day, this is really gonna kind of seat in here better. And once it kind of seats into that after that hot day, it's gonna always sit like this.
It's also gonna have these channels here, and what that's gonna do is, if you have any dirt or debris on your shoes, that's gonna kind of fall into those channels and kind of keep your feet away from it, kind on these raised surfaces. What I do like about how it's constructed is it's gonna have these high walls to it. So if you do have any of that dirt and debris getting in here, it's gonna be able to contain that very nicely. I also like how it even accommodates this centerpiece here, so it may not be the floor itself, but it's able to protect all around on both sides, and in the center. And as for cleanup, maybe you might have some like, scuffs from shoes or just a little bit of little dirt.
You can just kinda wipe off a lot of that. Or if you don't wanna use your hands, you use a rag and wipe off a lot of that. Now, I will say, if you do have a lot of dirt and water in here, it might be kind of hard just to take it out and dump it that way since this is all one piece, so trying to to remove both sides and keep your dirt and water in here might be pretty difficult. But it will be a lot easier just to vacuum things, or just wipe any spills up with a rag because it's not gonna seep into that carpet, it's just gonna be contained on the smooth surface. Overall, I think this is gonna be a solid choice just for anyone who has maybe kids. Maybe your kids are playing outside, they have a lot of dirt on the shoes, you don't want that getting inside your vehicle. Or maybe you have some items more bulky, dirty, and you don't want that getting on your floor. I think this is gonna solve that as well. Now, it is a little bit more flimsy, but I think that Flimsiness just kind of helps situate it into the backseat, just to make it a little bit easier. And it doesn't have any built-in anchor points, but the way it contours that fit in here really makes for a more secure fit.
