Video Transcript for Set up: WeatherTech All-Weather Front Floor Mats on a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we're talking about the weather tech, all weather front auto floor mats in our 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now this will be a great option for you if you're wanting to keep your vehicle a little more clean and you're looking for something that's gonna be easier to take in and out of your vehicle. Especially gonna be great if you're working outside a whole lot, may get a lot of dirt, mud on your boots and you don't want that getting back in your vehicle. So this will help keep things a lot cleaner. So let's check it out. So the way this is gonna fit inside of our car today is we're gonna have these plastic holes right here, and these are made or designed to fit onto our factory anchor points right here.

All you do is just line everything up, place it down, apply pressure until it clicks into place. But we're also gonna have these nibs on the bottom and these are going to be dispersed throughout the entire floor mat. And this is gonna grab onto the carpeting of your vehicle to prevent it from sliding around. What's really nice about these is as soon as you get 'em out of the box, they're gonna fit in really snugly inside of your vehicle. With some of the more rigid types, it takes a little bit for them to really form to the contours of our vehicle, but we're not having that issue today.

As you can see by how flexible it is, me pulling it back like this, it still retains its shape. And for the inside, we're gonna have these two different surfaces. The surface in the front is gonna give you more grip to keep your shoes on and also gonna have these raised surfaces where those raised surfaces are mainly going to come into play though is on the back area. This is where a majority of any of that debris or spillage is gonna be stored at, and we're gonna have these larger ridges here to help keep your feet above any of that grime. As for the driver's side, we are gonna have a few gaps, so we're gonna have a little bit of a gap underneath this pedal right up here so some debris can fall off into here and we're gonna have this gap right here on the side of this dead pedal area, but this is still gonna be a much better option as opposed to your factory mats because with the factory mats, they don't provide any coverage on this dead pedal area.

And as I talked about earlier, this is a very flexible design. It's gonna really easily get in and out of your vehicle. The downside of that is when you are getting it out, you bend it in like this. If you have any spillage in here that does have the probability to fall back out into your vehicle, that's something to think about. Another option from weather tech, they're gonna have a few different options, is gonna be the WeatherTech HP options.

And the HP ones are still gonna have some of that flexibility. So if you still like that, you're gonna still have that ability, but this is a lot more rigid as compared to the other option. And this one's also gonna offer you a little bit of sidewall coverage. So this is gonna help keep and store any of the debris in here better. This is also the just standard weather tech floor mats that just have the hard rigid core in the center and that's gonna even be more rigid than this. So there's gonna be plenty of options for you, but they all are pretty easy to clean off. As you can see, I got a little bit of smudge right here and this really wiping us off with my finger, gets it off. Now, if you have any more heavy duty spills or grime on here, you can take a wet rag, get a lot of that off of here. Even better option is just to take it outside, hose it down, let it dry, then you can put it back into your vehicle as good as new. Overall though, if you're just looking for something that is easy to get in and out of here because it is so flexible, it's gonna be able to accomplish that. And along with that, it's going to help keep a lot of debris out of here because in all honesty, it is a really good fit. It contours really nicely to your vehicle straight out of the box. But if you're looking for some other options that provide a little bit more coverage just on those walls, maybe something a little more sturdy, we have plenty of options on our website.
