This cat-back exhaust system has technologically advanced, mandrel-bent tubing and a performance muffler, which allow exhaust to flow freely through the system. This improves engine performance, boosting horsepower and torque.

The cat-back system is the portion of the exhaust system from the outlet of the catalytic converter back to the tailpipe. MagnaFlow systems boast mandrel-bent tubes that allow for unrestricted airflow by maintaining the same diameter through every curve. This consistency in diameter decreases back pressure in order to boost power.
Each MagnaFlow performance muffler has a stainless steel, perforated core that runs through the muffler - end to end - with no baffles, chambers, or louvers that restrict airflow. A layer of stainless steel wool insulates the perforated core to absorb noise, shield against high exhaust temperatures, and prevent blowouts. Together the mandrel-bent tubes and the muffler in this system increase horsepower, torque, and fuel efficiency. The resonator assists the muffler in reducing sound, but doesn't further interrupt the airflow.
MagnaFlow's signature sound is deep and throaty on throttle but quiet inside your vehicle. The Touring Series is designed for European vehicles and has a slightly less aggressive sound than other MagnaFlow exhaust systems, so it's more appropriate for street use.
All system components are made with 100-percent stainless steel to resist corrosion. Clamps and hangers are included for installing onto the OEM exhaust system. MagnaFlow provides a lifetime warranty on all stainless steel exhaust systems.
I was pleasantly surprised with the material quality of the muffler system and the resultant low exhaust note. I was worried the sound would be too loud like so many noisy exhaust systems out there on the streets. However, this exhaust note is very low and does not call much attention to the car unless under hard acceleration when you want the some noise. The reduced backpressure provides a nice horsepower bump through improved exhaust gas scavenging. I couple this cat-back system with hi-flow turbo air charge and discharge pipes leading to and from the inter-cooler for another significant bump in horsepower. Very Happy! Well worth the expense and the install was very easy with the supplied instructions. The pipe alignment at the back exit was perfect and I did not have to modify (just positionally adjust) any of the OEM hangers.
