Adam: Hi, everyone. Adam with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Erickson Safety Flags. We are going to have two different colors. We have fluorescent orange and fluorescent red. Both are going to be about 18 by 18 inches wide.
And what we're going to use these for is for those longer loads. It does vary state to state, so depending on where you're coming from, the amount of length that we add to the back of our vehicle is going to determine whether we need to use these safety flags. It's not only for the safety of your truck or whatever you may be hauling, but it's going to be for the safety of anybody behind you. When they see this flag, what they're going to do is they're going to realize that there's something hanging over the back of your vehicle and they're going to act appropriately.It is made of a mesh fabric. Both of them are.
So there are going to last a decently long time, and we do have some grommets here that are going to be metal so you don't have to worry about them ripping at highway speeds. What I did was actually just grab a Buyers Product Quick Tie, just to facet it through there, to tie it on the back of our ladder. Really, that's basically all you really need to know. So if you'd like to stay safe on the road, go ahead and grab some Erickson Safety Flags.
I use it while hauling my biggest kayak. Seems durable, no issues in the year I've had it.

Product arrived in great shape and was exactly as described on your web sight, I have not gone out in my kayak yet ,but the flag is to be used as my signal for those behind me and my kayak in my truck bed, to watch how close they are coming to to the back of my kayak and also in obeying the law when towing any product on the road.
I chose this particular flag because of the venting capabilities that may not tear as the wind blows across the trailing flag.
I also state the price is very good for the quality of the product you sent me. As I use the Flag I will be able to ascertain its longevity in using it

Still bright orange in fine condition
It's a mesh flag with two grommets that works fine as an over-length load marker. I mean, what can I say....it's still in one piece and looks orange.

Im not sure how its working out. First trip tied to the back of my fishing kayak which was in the bed of my pickup, when I arrived at the lake, there was the cord I used to tie it on and two grommets on the cord...no flag. Make what you will out of that.....
We use these on our towed car. They last for many trips.
Works good, bright color, nice size. The fabric is rubber coated so it seems like it will last for a while. Overall nice product and a good value, would purchase again.
Just opened up and the flag looks and feels well made.....
